Adding .

NET features
1. Click Server Manager Icon
2. Select Features
3. Select / Click Add Features
4. Select .NET Framework 3.0 Features
5. Click add Required Roles services
6. Click Next
7. Click Next
8. Click Next
9. Click Install

Installing ADDS & DNS


1. Click Start
2. Type CMD
3. Type DCPROMO, hit Enter
4. Click Next
5. Click Next
6. Select Create a new domain on a new forest
7. Click Next
8. Type the domain (Example: bkstp.local)
9. Click Next
10. Select 2008 (Forest Functional Level)
11. Click Next
12. Click Next, then Yes
13. Click Next
14. Type the desire Password then confirm
Note: Password must be Alphanumeric plus special
character.
15. Click Next
16. Click Next
17. Check reboot upon completion
Installing/Configuring DHCP Server
1. Click Server Manager Icon
2. Select Roles
3. Click Add Roles
4. Click Next
5. Select / Check DHCP Server  Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol(DHCP)
Enables you to centrally configure, manage, and
provide temporary IP addresses and related infor-
mation for client computers.
6. Click Next
7. Click Next
8. Click Next
9. Click Validate
10. Click Next
11. Click Next
12. Add a Scope  The range of possible IP addresses for a network. The DHCP
server cannot distribute IP addresses to clients until a scope
is created.
Example:
Scope Name: bkstpScope
Starting IP address: 10.0.0.3 (IP address assigned for Client PC)
Ending IP Address: 10.0.0.100 (100 devices can be covered by the scope)
Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0 (Depends on the IP class being used)
13. Click OK after typing the necessary things.
14. Click Next
15. Select Disable DHCP stateless node for this server
16. Click Next
17. Click Next
18. Hit/Click Install
19. Close
Creating Users in the Domain
1. Click Start
2. Go to Administrative Tools
3. Select Active Directory Users and Computers
4. Dropdown the Domain
5. Right-Click on the Users Folder
6. Select New
7. Select Users
8. In the New Object-user window, fill out the necessary information.
*Take note of the logon name*
9. Click Next
10. Provide a Password
11. Uncheck – User must change password at next login
Check – User cannot change password
Check – Password never expires
12. Click Next
13. Click Finish

Creating Organizational Unit


1. After creating users in the domain, right-click your domain
(bkstp.local)
2. Select New
3. Select Organizational Unit
4. Type the name of the OU (Example: bkstpOU)
5. Click OK.
Creating User in the Organizational Unit
1. In the OU newly created, right-click.
2. Select New.
3. Select User. (same process on how you created a user in the domain)

Joining Client PC in the Domain


(to be done in the Client PC)
1. Click Start
2. Go to Computer
3. Right-click Computer
4. Select Properties
5. Click change settings
6. Click change
7. Choose Domain
8. Type the domain name you had created.
Example: bkstp.local
9. A dialog box will pop-up asking for a user name and password
USERNAME: administrator (constant)
PASSWORD: the password of the server PC
10. If successful, welcome messages will pop-up.
If failed, please read the message.
11. Click OK if successfully joining the domain.
12. Close all the windows and restart the PC.
13. After restarting, Click switch user.
14. Write the credentials that you had created in the domain.
Registering Users in the Client-PC
1. Click Start
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Select User Account
4. If username and password is asked
type USERNAME: administrator
PASSWORD: (your password) then YES
5. Click Add
6. Type the necessary information( the logon name you had created in the
Organizational Unit)
Example:
Username: bkstp
Domain: bkstp.local
7. Click Next
8. Select Standard User
9. Click Finish

Creating GPO
1. Click Start
2. Go to administrative tools
3. Select Group Policy Management
4. Dropdown + Forest
5. Dropdown the Domain
6. Right-click the domain then Create a new GPO in this domain.
New GPO
7. Name your GPO (Example: bkstpGPO)
8. Click OK
9. Dropdown the domain
10. Select the GPO you had created
11. Right-click, select edit
12. Select Computer Configuration
13. Click Policies
14. Select Administrative Templates
15. Select Network
16. Select Offline Files
17. Double-click Allow/Disallow
18. Click Disabled
19. Click Apply
20. OK.

Folder Redirection
1. On the Desktop, right-click
2. Select new  folder
3. Rename the folder (Name: Redirection)
4. Highlight the folder, right-click
5. Select properties
6. Click Sharing
7. Select Advance Sharing
8. Click share this folder
9. Click permissions
10. Click Add
11. Type the logon name of the users you had created in the OU.
(to be faster Check names)
12. Click full Control
13. Click Apply, then OK
14. Click Apply, then OK
15. Click Security
16. Click Edit
17. Click add
18. Type the users you have created in OU
19. Click OK, then apply then OK
20. COPY THE NETWORK PATH
21. Go back to your Group Policy
22. Prioritize the computer configuration
23. Select User configuration
24. Select Policies
25. Double-click Windows settings
26. Double-click Folder redirection
a. Right-click the Desktop folder
b. Properties
c. Dropdown and select the ????
d. Past the new path in the root path
e. Click apply
f. Click Yes
g. Click OK
*Repeat the process from a-g. Configure the Document
folder.

Configuring the Users Folder


1. Click the folder
2. Select a folder
3. Double-click the folder
4. Click continue
5. Click security tab
6. Click continue
7. Select Administrative(bkstp/Administrator)
8. Click apply
9. Click OK, OK, OK, Close
10. Open the folder, Continue
Remote Desktop
Server PC
1. Click Server Manager
2. Click Configure Remote Desktop
3. Select Column*Not sure*….. 3rd
4. Click OK
5. Click Select User
6. Click add  add all users created in OU
7. Apply
8. OK
Client PC

1. Click Start
2. Go to Computer
3. Right-click Computer
4. Select Remote Settings
5. If Username and Password is asked.
provide the necessary information
Example: Username: administrator
Password: Server’s Password

Printer Sharing
1. Install a printer in the Server PC and please follow the manufacturer’s
manual in installing the printer.
2. Go to server Manager( installing Print Services)
3. Click Roles
4. Click add Roles
5. Select printing services
6. Click next
7. Click next
8. Click install
9. Close
Printer Sharing
1. Dropdown roles
2. Select/click print services
3. Dropdown Print management
4. Dropdown server
Dropdown server (Name)
Select Printer
Right-click printer to be shared

Share this Printer
Apply
