Teacher should have the skill of pedagogical in the way to help students to achieve
knowledge during teaching and learning process in the classroom.

Give the details of the two roles of today’s teachers in the contact of contemporary
pedagogical cluster towards the development of students in the academic field to produce
intellectual person in line with the goals of the National Philosophy of Education (FPK).

Contemporary Pedagogic can be classified as pedagogy that is constantly evolving and

changing with the times. The speed of today’s technological sophistication such as the use
of the internet, the addition of digital technology tools and applications that completely
change the atmosphere and climate of learning in the world of education. The contemporary
pedagogy focuses on students’ skills in organizing their learning without the help and
direction of their own teachers while teachers are only as facilitators and advisors for
students’ activities and learning. Therefore, we can conclude here that contemporary
pedagogy is a type of learning that requires the efforts and skills of the students themselves
and the teacher is no longer the main source of knowledge for students.

1. There are differences between students in terms of the quality of time and practice in
order to master the teaching objectives, according to certain subjects.

Question 3 – Structure

Analyse how effective classroom management principles and strategies can support student

behavior change in the context of 21st century education.

Sample answer:
The 21st century classroom is a transformation of the classroom with an exciting creative
learning space and requires teachers to stimulate students to continue to compete, learn
cooperatively, and acquire skills with collaborative values. Teachers have full accountability
to ensure the effectiveness of classroom management. This element of the use of
technology in 21st century education can attract students' interest to continue focusing on
their studies. Students can apply the use of technology in their studies. This will result in
effective and more meaningful learning.

One of the effective classroom management strategies is effective class control. One of the
ways that teachers can implement is cooperative learning. This method can give space to
students to share their opinions to complete the tasks given by the teacher. In addition, the
students can also help students of different cognitive levels by sharing the available
information. This will also strengthen the relationship between the students themselves and
will further reduce discipline problems among students at school.

Question B2
Curriculum alignment is the reorganization of content, pedagogy and assessment based on
the desired learning outcomes to meet the specific needs of the subject in any situation. In
line with these aspirations, MOE also provides guidance on the implementation of the
aligned curriculum in the remaining school period for 2020, including online visits and
information.

Based on the statement above, provide justification for how curriculum alignment can help
improve the mastery of the knowledge and skills of students who are affected in dealing with
unforeseen situations.

Sample Answer:

Curriculum alignment means an educational curriculum that is organized based on the

concept of alignment, which is the emphasis on basic, additional, and complementary
content. It involves the reorganization of content, pedagogy and assessment based on the
intended learning outcomes.

Among the objectives of implementing curriculum alignment is to cluster the curriculum

content that students need to continue learning at the next level. In addition, curriculum
alignment also provides opportunities for teachers and students to implement curriculum in
teaching and learning (PdP) affected by unforeseen disasters. This process involves the
preparation of a document that is aligned as the main guide for teachers to implement
teaching and learning (PdP) especially in facing the situation. Therefore, with the existence
of the document it will be a teacher's guide to be adapted to the current needs of each
subject being taught.

Through that approach, each teacher knows more about the abilities and capabilities of their
students before deciding to improve to the content phase. If there is time, the teacher will
focus on additional content and so on. Further, if there is still extra time, the teacher will
focus on complementary content and complete the curriculum as a whole.

However, for each student's level, or level, there is a basic content that they need to master
and this is the main component that needs to be paid attention to. What is important is that
every teacher knows the abilities of their students and this allows the teacher to make the
best plan, especially the basics.

Through the alignment of the curriculum, teachers can also plan teaching and learning (PdP)
by implementing blended learning methods. This can be done by planning interventions
based on the following considerations:

1. content that could not be implemented

2. Very low PdPR involvement of students and/or
3. the level of student mastery is low.
Among the teaching models that are suitable to be used is through the blended learning
model. The blended learning model involves a combination of face-to-face teaching
techniques in the classroom or learning at home (not face-to-face) that is structured.

To help students who do not have access to the internet or suitable devices, teachers take
the initiative to implement teaching and learning (PdP) by handing over learning materials to
students according to what they think is appropriate according to the current situation.

In addition, PdPR manuals can also be prepared by teachers covering online, offline and off-
site approaches either using learning modules or project-based learning.

Curriculum alignment is also a very good alternative because teachers can carry out
structured monitoring continuously to ensure that the implementation of PdP and
assessment is carried out as planned. At the same time, teachers can also make
improvements and improve the quality of PdP and PdPR. Indirectly, it provides guidance to
teachers to diversify PdP methods and prepare appropriate learning materials.
Section B
Question 1
The practice of teachers pedagogic nowadays needs to keep up with the development of
time. Prensky’s study (2001) concluded that today’s students develop through the way they
learn now and are very different from the way their teachers learned when they were
students.
Based on the statement above, discuss the extent of the contemporary teacher’s roles which
can be executed in the classroom to create effective learning in the 21st century.

(20 marks)
Sample answer

The role of teachers today is increasingly challenging with various changes in the field of
Education. Among the teacher’s roles is to provide a wide learning space for students to
collaborate such as providing opportunities that allow students to solve current problems
such as issues that directly involve them every day. In addition, teachers need to emphasize
the aspect of effective communication in order to increase student motivation. Teachers
encourage students to find information using or refer to various open sources such as
referring to websites that provide various up to date information. The use of various latest
applications indirectly trains students to use technology skills such as the use of Google
Classroom, Edmodo and various latest applications.
The roles of teachers and students also need to be balanced, both acting as educators and
students. Learning is more student-centered and the teacher acts as a facilitator in carrying
out activities in the classroom. Students learn more actively and this creates deep learning
for them and also, always ask questions when they do not understand something learned.

Suggested answer

 Teachers carry out teaching simultaneously physically and virtually.

 Teachers provide a responsive curriculum between teachers and students or

between students and students.

 Teachers provide more flexible learning that can be carried out during teaching and
learning activities.

 Teachers use various latest teaching aids to attract students’ interest.
