1. This question paper contains five sections A, B, C, D and E. Each section is compulsory.
2. Section - A carries 20 marks weightage, Section - B carries 10 marks weightage, Section - C carries 18
marks weightage, Section - D carries 20 marks weightage and Section - E carries 3 case-based with
total weightage of 12 marks.

4. It comprises of 5 VSA type questions of 2 marks each.
Section – C:
5. It comprises of 6 SA type of questions of 3 marks each.
Section – D:
6. It comprises of 4 LA type of questions of 5 marks each.
Section – E:
7. It has 3 case studies. Each case study comprises of 3 case-based questions, where 2 VSA type
questions are of 1 mark each and 1 SA type question is of 2 marks. Internal choice is provided in 2
marks question in each case-study.
8. Internal choice is provided in 2 questions in Section - B, 2 questions in Section – C, 2 questions in
Section - D. You have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such questions.

33. An insurance company insured 1500 scooter drivers, 2500 car drivers and 4500 truck drivers. The
probability of a scooter, a car and a truck driver meeting with an accident is 0.01, 0.02 and 0.04
respectively. If one of the insured person meets with an accident, then find the probability that he is a
scooter driver.
34. An examination of 8 applicants for a clerical post was taken by a firm. The marks obtained by the
applicants in the Reasoning and Aptitude tests are given below:

Calculate the Spearman’s coefficient of rank correlation from the data given above.

The mean and the variance of 5 observations are 4.4 and 8.24 respectively. If the three observations are
1, 2 and 6, find the other two observations.
35. In financial year 2019-20, the gross salary of Sanjay (age 29 years) was Rs 850000 (exclusive of
HRA). He deposited Rs 9200 per month in G.P.F. and paid Rs 43000 as life insurance premium. He
donated Rs 25000 in Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. He took a home loan Rs 2400000 from
the State Bank of India and Paid Rs 76000 as interest on home loan and Rs 20000 as principal of home
loan. Calculate his income tax at the end of the financial year.

In Financial year 201-20, the annual income of Mr. Rohit (age 30 years) was Rs 885400 (exclusive of
HRA). He deposited Rs 85000 in NPS, Rs 38000 in LIC and invested Rs 30000 in NSC. He paid Rs
18000 as tuition fee for her daughter’s education. If the paid Rs 1500 per month as advance income tax
for 11 months, calculate the income tax paid by him at the end of the financial year.
