1) Specific Objectives of our project are:
To identify different problems of Ginjo Kebele To compare the severity of the identified problems of the Kebele To intervene the identified problems by taking appropriate actions. To make recommendations on the communities’ problems like urban road and drainage structures integration, their provision and management. To maintain/sustain the critical local road access in the Town with road safety secured. To increase business access and opportunities for urban households. To promote socially responsible and environmentally sound implementation practices in Bridge/Road construction.
2) Sector Participated in our intervention are:
Jimma Town Municipality Administration. Jimma Zone Water and Energy office Ginjo Keble Administrative. Jimma University, Jimma Institute of Technology. 3) The beneficiary of the project are: Ginjo Kebele community. All participated student. Student of Jimma teachers training center living in the community. Any other individual who make their transportation through the road. Participated organization in contributing their responsibility to town development. 4) The beneficiary of the project are: a) Community empowerment Community empowerment refers to the process of enabling communities to increase control over their lives by giving them the power to make decision over their own asset so that they believe and develop the sense of ownership to that activity. They can actively participated by contributing anything they can as the asked a) Intersectoral collaboration Collaboration is the process of two or more people or organization working together to realize shared goal. Intersectoral collaboration is the process of government and non- governmental sector working together for common goal. For example; Town municipality and health organization works together for the community’s sanitation and health problem to develop health town and population. Any sector should have work in collaboration for the development of country. 5) The beneficiary of the project are: The main advantage of DTTP for my future carrier are the following. DTTP is used to develop and exercise An experience to conduct social surveys for problem identification. Team spirit and share the knowledge with different disciplines. Good ethical approach while holding discussion to each other and interactions with communities. How to identify and prioritize various problems in the communities.
