    The classification of learners in the Learners Information System (LIS)
    are the following:

    A. For learners with diagnosis from licensed medical specialists

    A. Visual Impairment
    B. Hearing Impairment
    C. l,earning Disability
    D. Intellectual Disability
    E. Autism Spectrum Disorder
    F. Emotional-Behavioral Disorder
    G. Orthopedic/Physical Handicap
    H. Speech/ Language Disorder
    I. Cerebral Palsy
    J. Special Health Problem/Chronic Disease
    K. Multiple Disabilities

    B. Learners without Medical Diagnosis but with manifestations


    of disabilities (TEACHER’S OBSERVATION)

    1 . Difficulty in Seeing
    2. Difficulty in Hearing
    3. Difficulty in Basic Learning and Applying Knowledge
    4. Difficulty in Remembering, Concentrating, Paying
    Attention and Understanding
    5. Difficulty in Applying Adaptive Skills
    6. Difficulty in Displaying Interpersonal Behavior
    7. Difficulty in Mobility (Walking, Climbing and Grasping)
    8. Difficulty in Communicating

    Such access improves the life chances, available choices, and


    valued contributions of every learner with special educational needs such
    as:
    •1. Difficulty in Displaying Interpersonal Behavior
    o ➢ making friends and maintaining friends
    o ➢ interacting with people in authority
    o ➢ creating and maintaining family relationships

    •2. Difficulty in Basic Learning & Applying Knowledge


    o ➢ Learning to read/write/count/calculate
    o ➢ Acquiring skills (manipulating tools, learning names)
    o ➢ Thinking
    o ➢ Solving problems

    •3. Difficulty in Communicating


    o ➢ Understanding others (spoken, written, sign language)
    o ➢ Producing messages
    o ➢ Communicating with others
    o ➢ Communicating using devices

    •4. Difficulty in Mobility


    o ➢ Staying in one position
    o ➢ Changing a body position

    •5. Difficulty in Hearing


    o Hard of hearing
    o Deaf/deafness
    o Hearing loss
    o
    •6. Difficulty in Seeing
    o Low vision/partially-sighted
    o Blindness

    •7. Difficulty in Remembering or Concentrating


    o Has short attention span
    o Has poor memory
    o Has difficulty in comprehending situations in communication
    o Is easily distracted around him
    o Has difficulty in finishing work that has been started
    o Perseverates or repeats unnecessary action
    o Has reversals in written work
    o Has difficulty in relating isolated facts into meaningful ideas

    •8. Difficulty in Performing Adaptive Skills
