This technical data sheet provides information on OBSH, a white fine powder used as a chemical blowing agent. Some key points:
- OBSH decomposes at around 160°C and has excellent storage stability, but requires surface coating to be well dispersed in polymers.
- It presents no issues with odor, toxicity, or discoloration. Particle size, shape, and decomposition temperature are important for applications.
- Common applications include in EPDM, CR, PVC, and EVA polymers for products like weatherstripping, diving suits, and wall coverings. Precautions include expiration date of 1 year and storing in a dry, well-ventilated place protected from light and moisture.

Type OBSH CELLCOM - OBSH/ASA2(N) Cas No. 80-51-3 EC No. 201-286-1 UN No. 3226
Description
Contrary to AC, OBSH is a white fine powder that decomposes at low
temperature around 160℃. OBSH has an excellent storage stabillity
as AC under normal conditions. But it is not readily dispersed in the polymers by conventional means , dispersion is improved by surface coating with small amounts of mineral oils. MW 358.39 OBSH presents no problems in ordor, toxicity or discoloration. p,p'-Oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide) Physical properties such as particle size, shape and decomposition temperature are important in applications.
