BROAD CHECK LIST FOR THE CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR PERSONALITY TEST

Please ensure that you bring all the relevant documents in original along with photocopies
thereof on the date of Personality Test. The candidates are advised to carefully verify their documents
before hand and ensure that the following conditions have been satisfied.
(I) Name & Date of Birth: For Name and Date of Birth, Original Matriculation/Higher
Secondary/equivalent Certificate or any of the documents as mentioned in Rule 5(3) of the CSE Rules,
2021 published in The Gazette of India, Extraordinary PART I- Section 1 dated 04-03-2021 containing
Date of Birth issued by the University / Board concerned should be provided. The Name and Date of
Birth as recorded in any of these documents will be treated as final by the Commission.
(II) Educational Qualification: The candidate must show the original Degree(s) in support of his
educational qualification(s) at the time of PT Board. In case original degree is not yet issued by the
University or is otherwise not available, he/she is required to produce provisional certificates and/or
Mark-sheets in support of his claim at the time of PT Board and/ or other certificates. Candidate with
MBBS Degree or any other Medical Degree would be required to produce original Internship
Completion Certificate also.
If a candidate is having a Degree from a foreign University, an Equivalence Certificate issued by
Association of Indian Universities/ National Board of Examination (for MBBS or any other Medical
Examination) is required to be produced.

(III) In case there is discrepancy between the name as recorded in the Matriculation Certificate and
as entered in Degree and/or PG Degree, Internship Completion Certificate and/or other certificates
(except caste/Income & Asset certificate), the following steps must be taken:-
(a) In case of minor discrepancy in the name of the candidate (or his/her father) due to a spelling
error, {e.g. (Mohan and Mohun) or (R. Mathur and Ramesh Mathur)}, an affidavit in original by the
candidate (as deponent) may be produced at the time of PT Board to the effect that both the names
belong to the same person.

(b) In case of a major discrepancy related to the addition or deletion of part/parts of any name, {e.g.
(Ram Kumar and Ram Kumar Singh) or (Ajay Kumar and Ajay Kumar Singh Rana)}, a Gazette
notification may be produced at the time of PT Board to the effect that the person has changed his
name henceforth.
(c) In case of certificates issued by the State of Maharashtra, the name of the candidate is sometimes
inclusive of the name of the father and/or the name of the mother. In such cases, an affidavit by the
candidate (as deponent) may be produced at the time of PT Board to the effect that the names on both
certificates belong to the same person.
IV) Caste/Tribe/I&A Certificates: candidates claiming to be SC/ST/OBCs/EWS must ensure the
following conditions;
(a) The name of the candidate and his/her father in the certificates should be strictly as recorded in
the Matriculation or equivalent Certificate. In case minor discrepancy as defined in Instructions No.
III (a) above in the Candidate’s Name (and/or his/her Father’s Name) with the Matriculation, an
affidavit by the candidate (as deponent) in original may be produced at the time of PT Board to the
effect that both the names belong to the same person.
(b) The name of the caste/tribe (where applicable) is included in the Central List in respect of the
State to which the candidate or his/her father originally belongs. Continued 2/-

(c) The name of the caste/tribe (where applicable) and sub caste/tribe (if it is mentioned in the Central
List) should be strictly according to the Central List as is available on the website i.e.
socialjustice.nic.in in respect of SCs, on censusofindia.gov.in in respect of STs and ncbc.nic.in in
respect of OBCs.
(d) The applicable Govt. of India resolution in SC/ST/OBC certificate should be available. The
ordinarily residing clause in SC/ST/OBC certificate should be duly filled up.
(e) In case SC/ST/OBC certificate is issued to a candidate residing in a State on the basis of the
relevant certificate issued to his/her parent in another State, relevant migration clause should have
been duly filled up.
f) The certificate should be in prescribed format and should have been signed by a competent
authority not below the rank of Tehsildar with legible stamp of his/her designation either in Hindi or
English.
g) The certificate must contain a Seal of Office of the concerned issuing authority / Office. In case
of a Seal in regional language, another seal in either English or Hindi may also be got affixed.
h) The SC/ST/OBC/I&A certificate should be dated earlier than the closing date (i.e. 24-03-2021)
for submission of applications for this examination, as stipulated in the Examination Rule and Notice.
i) In case of an OBC certificate, it should incorporate therein the relevant provisions of DoP&T OM
No. 36033/1/2013-Estt. (Res) dated 13.09.2017/latest Clause, pertaining to Creamy Layer and must
be prepared inter-alia satisfying the above mentioned conditions at (a) to (h) and produced at the time
of PT Board.

j)In case of Income & Asset Certificate, the same should be strictly in format issued by DoP&T vide
OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 The I&A Certificate should be based on the
income for the Financial Year-2019-20 and must be prepared inter-alia satisfying the above
mentioned conditions and produced at the time of PT Board.
(V) Persons with Certificate of Disability: In case Persons with Certificate of Disability(PwBD
candidates) the following should be ensured.
(a) The name of the candidate, Date of birth and the name of his/her father in the certificates should
be strictly as recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent Certificate.

(b) All entries are duly filled in and the extent of disability (40% or more) is clearly indicated.
(c) The certificate should be duly signed by Competent Authority of the Medical Board along with
seal showing name and designation.

(d) The photograph affixed on the certificate showing the face only should be duly attested by the
Competent Authority of the Medical Board.
(VI) Other Certificates: The certificates in support of age relaxation (other than SC, ST or OBC
category or the Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates) in original are also required to be
shown.

(VII) Exemption from Indian Language: The candidates hailing from the States of Arunachal
Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim, who had sought exemption from
Indian Language in CS(M)E, 2021 would be required to produce “Hailing From Certificate” in
original, from the competent authority. The Persons with Benchmark Disability (only Hearing
Impaired), who have sought exemption from the paper A on Indian Language provided that they have
been granted such exemption from 2nd or 3rd language courses by the concerned Education
Board/University, needs to provide an undertaking/self-declaration in this regard in order to claim
such exemption.
(VIII) Certificate: The candidates, who have been asked to produce any other certificate(s) dated
prior to 24.03.2021, due to deficiency noticed/intimated in the certificate uploaded with DAF-I or II,
are required to produce the requisite certificate in original at the time of Interview.
(IX) Photo Identity Card: Photo Identity Card as mentioned in the e-Summon letter, is also required
to be shown in original.
(X) Eligibility for availing any Reservation/Relaxation: It may be noted that to avail
benefit of any Reservation/Relaxation candidate should be eligible in term of Rules 27, 28 & 29 of
Rules of CSE-2021 published in The Gazette of India, Extraordinary PART I- Section 1 dated 04-03-
2021.
