 Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of the patients
 Clinical supervision of the workplace is maintained.
Regular ongoing assessment of resident’s general health will be reported to the CNM.
Comprehensive reports on Residents status will be written and given verbally to the staff of the
oncoming shift. Monthly reports and attend management meetings weekly
 Direct supervision of care assistants.
Managing Roster
 Incidents and accidents are managed and reported appropriately.
Medications are stored, handled and dispensed in accordance with legislative by-laws,
policies and procedures.
 To carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities as requested by the CNM/ Manager.
To assist with the training of staff both in the orientation period and also on an ongoing basis.
 To assist in the supervision of staff in order to achieve their potential and the delivery of the
optimal standard of care.
Maintain records and reports.
 To assist with the internal auditing.
 Carry out discharge procedures and follow up.
 Provide admission care and orientation about the hospital routines and policies.
 Health Education.
 Maintain proper communication among doctors and nurses, patients and nurses, nurses and co-

 Suctioning and maintaining ventilation of the patient.

 PEG feeding, Urinary Cather insertion and ongoing care
