WHAT IS A BUSINESS?

A Business is an organized effort of an individual to


produce and sell goods and services in order to satisfy the
needs of society.

·It is a document that provides investors and partners with financial
information and also provides investors and partners with financial information

1. Sole Proprietorship – it is owned and operated by one individual. The
owner is called the proprietor.
2. Partnership – it is a legal arrangement of two or more owners who call
themselves partners. They bind themselves to contribute money, property
or industry to put up the business and divide profit among them.
3. Corporation – it is composed of more than five owners who call
themselves stockholders. Their shares are called capital stocks, and the
owners often have no part in the management of the business.
4. Cooperative – it is a duly registered association of persons, with common
bond of interest, who have voluntarily joined together to achieve a
lawfully
common social or economic end, making equitable contributions to the
capital required and accepting a fair share of the risks and benefits.
