Project: Dewatering for proposed Construction of Ground Floor Warehouse,

Location: Plot no. 599-1251, Jebel Ali Ind. 1 , Dubai, U.A.E.

Scope of work: Dewatering for an area with approximate perimeter of 114.00LM, having depths
of excavation-1.00m (Gen.) -2.50m(Max.). Water table is at -0.50m from EGL.

DEWATERING ON SUB CONTRACT BASIS (WELLPOINT SYSTEM) :

 Hire to commence when first pump is started and to end when last pump is switched off after
receiving your off-hire fax.

You have to provide/arrange for us:


 Fuel for dewatering pumps (1No.), including jetting pump and drill machine (20gallons/day/pump).
 All necessary entry passes, if any.
 5Nos. labors to assist our technicians in well point installations.
 10mm Aggregates, Initial jetting water, access, and supports / trenches / pockets / craneage / ramps
for dewatering system / any noise reduction measures for the dewatering pumps (if required).
 Road crossings with necessary NOC’s and related fees & deposits.
 NOC from Client/Consultant/Authorities and related fees.

 Sufficient storage space for our materials at site.
 Proper access to site and any excavation required.
 Marking for installation of dewatering systems and responsibility for any existing services.
 Discharge facility to be arranged by you within 200m from site with necessary NOC’s & related
authorities’ fees & deposits.
 Day & night watch of the complete dewatering system and inform us in case of breakdowns /
emergencies (If full time technician is not required).
 Official Off-hire fax: three-days prior to off hire.
 NDDS will not be responsible for any drawdown/settlements outside the excavation limits.
 NDDS is not responsible for any shoring leaks/shoring deflections.
 Any fines / black points issued to our trade license due to failure in abiding the following will be
transferred to the Contractor and we will not be held responsible for the same and these has to be
taken care by the Contractor:
a. The Safety Norms of RTA / Authorities which includes but not limited to the Construction
& maintenance of Road Crossing Ramps as per the RTA / Authorities specification
including the safety measures like providing & maintenance of Safety barriers, Safety
Cones, Flash lights etc.
b. Delay in payments to necessary Authorities.
c. Failure in providing the RTA / Authorities NOC at site during RTA / Authorities site inspection.
 In addition to the above, if required the Traffic Impact Study Report (TIS) to be provided by the
Contractor to RTA / Authorities to obtain necessary approvals.

General terms & conditions:


 Dewatering is a ‘Temporary work’. Hence retention / performance bond /bank guarantee etc will not
be applicable.
 Rate based on the water table level / reduced ground level & discharge hoses 200mtr FOC. Additional
discharge hoses & booster pump if required will be chargeable @ Dhs.0.15/- per meter per day &
Dhs.170/- (without diesel) each per day.
 Materials unrecoverable/damaged/abandoned will be chargeable @ Dhs.130/- per meter or
Dhs.38/- each well point.
 Insurance: We will cover only our workmen’s compensation; all other insurances to be covered
under your CAR policy.
 Mobilization: As per site programme and after receiving LPO or signing the contract.
 Validity: 90 days from the date of quotation.

Payment terms:

 Mobilization & Installation cost of AED 14,100.00/- to be paid immediately after mobilization.
 Monthly invoices to be paid as 30 days PDC in advance against Performa invoice date.
 In case of no payment certificate issued within 15 days from date of submission of invoice, NDDS
shall consider our invoice as final.
 NDDS has the full right to stop our services, if payments are not received within 15 days from the
date of submission of our Performa invoices.
 2% monthly finance charges to be levied on bounced cheques / overdue invoices.
