Motorbikes are a nuisance and a cause for great distress. Even motorbikes or considered as the
most convenient from of transportation, I think they are a hazard to humans, animals, as well as the
environment. I think motorbikes should be banned in housing areas due to the following reasons: cause
of unreasonable amount of noise, air pollution, diseases, and accidents.
First of all, I would like to point out that motorbikes are major contributor to the pollution in
the world. Research has shown that motorbikes emit a deadly gas that is dangerous for environment.
Consequently, long-term emission of gas from motorbikes is a major contributor of global warming
(science daily).
Secondly, according to report from BBC News Channel, motorbikes are also responsible for
causing diseases such as bronchitis, cancer, and are a major trigger of asthma and high blood pressure.
Some of the diseases are so ghastly that they can kill people (BBC News ,2009).
Furthermore, motorbikes create so much noise. There is “Vroom Vroom” noise everywhere. It is
extremely difficult to sleep parents with infants find it extremely challenging. The moment their babies
fall asleep, one or other motorbike passes by, and the baby wakes up. It is also arduous for children to
concentrate on their homework. Experts are of opinion that if there is extreme noise, it can lead to
deafness and lack of concentration in children and adults (field,1993).
Finally, motorbikes are responsible for horrible accidents. In some cases, there are deaths. Motorbikes
riders go so fast that they are unable to stop on time. Thus, they end up hitting other people or animals.
Many a time lot of animals are trampled and found death and road. Motorbikes are known to be the
biggest killers on road (field,1993).
In conclusion, from the arguments above, I strongly believe that motorbikes should be banned
from housing areas.

Language is the mean of communication. Mostly groups of society have their own
languages. Some of them appear the top global languages. Most people in the world hear
about English, Arabic, and Mandarin. However, English is the most global spoken
language. Then if a man wants to catch a global goal, he must master English.
Everyone recognize that English is an international language. English is used in
writing and speaking by many people all over the world. It can be either as a first or
second language. We even hear British, American, Australian, and even Singaporean
English. Those various names of English are used as the first language in those countries.
Furthermore, some countries have their own languages as a mother language but also
use English mostly in daily communication.
Besides usage in daily interaction, English is also used as a key to open doors
leading to scientific and technical knowledge. No wonder we find manual guides and
instructions of many devices written in English. Even if we have a pack of instant noodle,
we will see the cooking instruction also written in English. This transfer of science and
technical will include many countries in economic, social and politics development.
Finally, the most easily seen in the importance of learning English is that most top
requirement in filling job opportunities is the ability using English, active or passive. Job
applicants who master English are more favourable than ones who do not.
The above facts prove that everybody needs to learn English if he likes to greet the

If you get up early in the morning you will see an unusual sight. In city parks and in city streets, lot
of boys and girls and men and women are already up and busy. But they are not working or going
anywhere. They are exercising. Some are playing football or badminton and some others are jogging. What
is jogging?
Jogging is a gentle running. Why is jogging so popular today? Why do people jog? People jog to
relax themselves, to keep themselves fit, or simply to enjoy themselves. Our world today is a world where
life is comfortable and easy for many city people. Fast buses, cars, or motorcycles take us to work or to
school. Lifts carry us quickly from one floor to another in large buildings. So many people get very little
exercise.
What do you need to start jogging? You only need a pair of running shoes, an old pair of jeans or
shorts, a sweater, and a little courage. Don’t be embarrassed if you meet your neighbor as you return
home, hot and tired. When you begin jogging, start by running some of the way and then walking. Don’t jog
too far to begin with and jog slowly. Once you develop a regular jogging program, you willfeel fit and well,
and you will be ready to start a busy day feeling fresh and awake.
Next time you are at the swimming-pool, look at the people around you, especially those who are
over thirty. How many of them have a fat stomach? Now you understand why more people today go
jogging or do some other sort of exercises

Dear Fred,
It was real sorrow that I heard this morning of your great loss. I knew your
mother was ill. For your brother told me several weeks ago. However, as he at that
time didn’t seem to think. The illness was very serious, the news of your mother death
came to me as a shock. You have my sincere and heartfelt sympathy, my dear fellow, in
your sorrow. I know you will feel it deeply, for you always though so much of your
mother and loved her so truly. I feel it also personal loss to myself for your mother was
always very kind to me. I admired her a good and noble woman. Her death must be a
terrible grief to your father too. Please assure him of my sincere sympathy.
Words, I know, are poor comforters. “The heart knows its own sorrow”, and in
such sorrows we are always alone. However, it is not mere words when I say that I feel
with you in your sorrow.

Your sincere friends,

Jack

about your invitation to come to your country? It’s a
