    Online Pre-Orientation Tutorial

    This tutorial is meant to help you navigate your way through the online pre-orientation program
    (OPO). If you find an issue accessing the content, the following steps will guide you throughout the
    process.

    Please follow these instructions carefully. You will only be able to access the AUI affiliated Canvas
    course once you have fulfilled all the requirements below.

    Part 1 :
    Step 1: You will receive a AUI Canvas Notification to your email titled Finish Registration:
    Canvas from email [email protected].
    a. If you are unable to locate this email in your email inbox, please check your junk or spam
    mail folder.
    b. **Please mark the email as not junk or spam as you will continue to receive notifications
    from this email domain regarding your Canvas account.**

    Step 2: Please email [email protected] if you did not receive a registration email from AUI
    Canvas Notification.

    Step 3: Please click the Click here to finish the registration process link within the Finish
    Registration: Canvas email to create an account password.
    a. Dependent on the email platform, the email appears similar to the image below.
    Step 4: Once the registration link is clicked, a new window will display with a Welcome
    Aboard message and your email within the login text box.
    a. The email within the login text box is your username/login for your Canvas account.
    i. The format for external accounts will always be an email address in lowercase
    format.
    b. Enter a password for your account in the password text box.
    c. Check off I agree to the Acceptable Use Policy.
    d. Click the green Register button.
    e. You will be automatically logged into your account after clicking the Register button.
    Step 5: **DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSWORD**.
    a. Please write down your account password.
    b. As an external AUI Canvas participant, you have complete control of resetting and

    Part 2:
    Step 1: To access the online orientation program, first access your Canvas account as indicated
    by the email received from ITS. Click on “Courses” listed on the left side of the screen. And then “OPO 01
    -Online Pre-Orientation”

    Step 2: To access the online orientation program, click on “Modules” to access the list of all
    modules.
    Step 3: After accessing “OPO 01-Online Pre-Orientation”. 8 modules in order will appear on your screen.
    Please click on the first Module page 1: “Al Akhawayn University and Liberal Arts”.

    Step 4: Once you have accessed the first page, read the content carefully and scroll down to the bottom
    of the page and click on next.

    Step 5: Please note that you can only unlock further sections after you complete the ones before it.
    After each reading, a quiz or a writing question will be given out to you. To fully complete the
    requirement of the online Pre-Orientation, you should score at least a passing grade of 70%.
    Step 6: Click on grades to check whether your grades are equivalent to 70% or if they need
    improvement.

    Example: you scored 72.88% so you passed the class.
