Daemon Companion’s
Protection
Your Eden’s Apple companion(s) is very capable of protecting you. They can
turn away malevolent forces and beings from causing you harm. Your
companion can even destroy them if he/she (or you) desires it. However, like
all things, your companion has their limitations. It can be difficult for her or
him to protect you from yourself.
Your companion can set up powerful shields and wards, but they will not
impose on your free will (unless you request so). You are free to invite
whoever into your protections. If you invite an impostor, trickster, or
otherwise negative being into your protections, a lesson will ensue.
Remember, your companions are also here to help you learn. If you are
faced with this situation you need to develop better discernment and the
only way you will learn is by experiencing the issue you have created for
yourself. Daemons tend to show us tough love. I am sure you know this by
now. I digress, once you realize your mistake all you need to do is ask your
companion to remove the being with ill intentions. Simply say to your
companion “{insert companion(s) name} please remove or destroy any being
that has bad intentions towards me. Even if I invited them into my space,
eradicate them from my life by any means necessary” and your
companion(s) will get to work to the best of their ability.
Afterward, be sure to journal the incident so you can learn. Look for where
you could have done better and avoid repeating the mistake again. Where
did this being come from? What made you invite the being in? How did the
being’s energy feel at first and did it differ later on? How did the being
initially make you feel? Did you sense any red flags? Why did you ignore
said red flags? Did your body physically react to your intuition? Ie.
goosebumps, shivers, physical pain, or upset stomach upon meeting the
being. Note any other experiences you think would be helpful to you in the
future. Also, note what finally tipped you off that the being had bad
intentions. Doing this can create a foundation for discerning a malevolent
being who hides its intentions behind illusions.
Suppose you struggle with discernment and are concerned that you will not
notice a being with bad intentions. In that case, you can ask for the
prevention of negative beings entering your space as soon as you meet your
companion. You just need to say “{insert companion(s) name} Please prevent
any being with bad intentions from entering my space, even if I invite them
in. Remove or destroy the ill-intended being as soon as it enters. I also
request that any beings with ill intentions that I have invited into my space
previous to your arrival are removed or destroyed”. Keep in mind you might
be preventing yourself from learning a lesson in discernment. The decision is
yours to make.
When it comes to protecting you from baneful magick, your companions are
incredibly capable. Again, they do have a limitation. You. Frequently a
person hexes or curses themselves just by thinking they are hexed or
cursed. To prevent this from occurring you need to have true confidence in
your companion’s ability to protect you. In doing so you are closing any back
doors in your mind that might allow a curse to slip in.
Your companions are happy to assist you. But it is essential that you are
clear with them on your requests and expectations. Depending upon their
nature, your companion(s) may not go out of their way to perform a task
that you have not requested. It is not usually in their nature to do so.
Communication is vital when working with daemons. Furthermore, do not
forget to give your companion(s) an offering to show your appreciation for
their efforts. A little respect goes a long way.
Last but certainly not least, it is pivotal that you have reasonable
expectations for the level of protection that your companion can provide. The
likelihood of you being under attack from a daemon is slim compared to
being confronted by non-infernals or angry spirits, but the risk does exist.
Even so, the probability of coming under attack from a daemon that is a
higher rank than Unpledged is even slimmer, but again, the risk does exist.
In regards to a malicious spirit or non-daemonic entity (which is most often
the case), an Unpledged ranking daemon can handle the situation with ease,
but when having an altercation with another daemon, strength and rank
matter.
In case you do not know the importance of our daemon companion ranking
system, it is crucial to understand that there is value in strength according
to rank. For instance, although an Unpledged daemon can efficiently protect
you from baneful energies, malicious spirits, entities, and other Unpledged
daemons, he or she might not be able to protect you from a higher rank. On
the other side of the coin, a Commander can protect you from even a King or
Queen. It is common knowledge that the higher the rank of your companion,
the more powerful and capable they are, thus the greater your protection is.
