    The Human Digestive System

    PART 1: Label the digestive tract diagram below by referring to the functions
    of organs listed in the right.
    A. It is the first opening of the
    alimentary canal where
    mechanical digestion of food
    starts and partial chemical
    digestion of carbohydrates is
    initiated.
    B. passageway for food, fluids, & air

    indigestible waste comes out.
    I. It secretes saliva containing
    enzyme for chemically digesting
    starch.
    J. Produces bile that breaks down
    fat and makes them accessible
    for the digestive enzymes.
    K. Stores the bile.
    L. Secretes pancreatic juice which
    breaks down all categories of
    foodstuff and help neutralize the
    acidity of chyme.
