III – Learning Tasks
A. Pre-Reading
1. Review: Have you seen a farm? Where?
2. Motivation: Show a story about “A Day on The Farm”. (Spot the adjectives)
3. Unlocking of Difficult / Unfamiliar Words
a. beautiful, big, tall, curly, fat, fluffy, nipa hut, headed, grandfather
4. Reading of Comprehension Questions:
1. What is the title of the story?
2. Who are the characters in the story?
3. Where did Ana go?
4. What are the animals that Ana saw?
5. How many animals in the story?
6. If you were Ana, where will you spend your vacation?
5. Reading of motive questions:
If you are Ana, will you do the same as what she did to her grandfather?
6. Routine: It’s reading time!

B. During Reading of the story
“A Day on the Farm”
It was a beautiful day outside and Ana walked
fast with a big smile on her face as she headed
down to her grandfather’s farm. As she enters
the tall gate of the farm, she saw a goat with
curly tail, a pretty cow, a fat pig, a fluffy sheep
and a hungry rooster. She also saw a river with
clear water with a colorful fish. She runs as fast
as she can to her grandfather’s old nipa hut. She
greeted her grandfather, took his hand and
kissed it. She told her grandfather that when the
schooldays are over, she will be going to spend her
vacation in the farm.

C. Post Reading
1. Answering of the comprehension questions.
2. Answering of the motive questions.
3. Values Infusion: We should love and respect our elders because they are a gift from
God.
D. Presentation: Present the pictures with the words that describe in it. Let the pupils read
and tell them that the word that comes before the nouns are describing words or
adjectives.
