The Happy Laugh Challenge Badge at home!

This badge has been designed by


6th Wombourne Brownies. It’s all about being
happy, laughing and having fun!

The activity ideas have been split into four main areas:
Being Happy, Laughing, Good Turns
and Making Friends.

How it works…
No matter what section, everyone must complete 5
activities of their choice!
Have Fun!
Being Happy
• Play Simon Says with feelings…”Simon says, BE HAPPY!”
• Decorate smiley face cupcakes or biscuits.
• Make a smiley face treasure hunt.
• Singing is proven to make you happy – make sure you sing ‘If you’re Happy and You
know it!’.
• Sport is known to reduce stress and anxiety – have a go at some sports activities.
There are loads of videos online to watch! • Have a go at making armpit fudge – its
tastier than it sounds! (see attached recipe)

• Laughing
• Have a competition to see if you can make each other laugh! Challenge your family
to take part!
• Have a 'Funny Outfits' competition – raid your wardrobes for the funniest
combination.
• Have a funny faces photo shoot.
• Host a comedy talent show with your family.
• Have a back to front morning – wear your clothes the wrong way or have your day
backwards.
• Watch a funny film together with your family.
• Research and have a go at ‘Laughter Yoga’ – trust us, it works!
• Have an evening of dance songs with your family – learn the YMCA,
Saturday Night and Superman!

Good Turns
• Make some homemade flowers for a family member.
• Keep a diary for a week of all the things you do to make other people smile. (Use the
sheet attached to this resource).
• Collect unwanted clothing to send to a charity shop.
• Have a pamper evening and relax together - Take it in turns to pamper each other.

Making Friends
• Make friendship bracelets.
• Find a pen-pal unit and write letters to each other.
• Colour in a rainbow & display it in your window
Armpit Fudge
Ingredients: (single serve version)

• 2 oz. icing sugar (1/2 cup)


• 1 Tbsp butter
• 2 tsp cream cheese
• dash of vanilla essence
• 2 tsp cocoa What to do:

• Place all ingredients in a sandwich-size plastic zipper-bag, etc.).


• Squeeze out all the air.
• Squish and moosh (under the arm!) the bag until all the ingredients are well mixed and
there is a creamy consistency. • Add any favourite flavours or other stuff (raisins, M&M's, peanut
butter, chopped nuts, etc.).
• Take out a spoon and enjoy!

If you’re happy and you know it…nod your head.
If you’re happy and you know it…say we are!

Add your own such as…touch your nose, pull a face, do a wiggle, laugh out loud etc.

My Good Turns Diary

Colour in each smiley face when you have done a good turn this week!
Try and do at least one a day and write down what you have done.
