Prompt:

Analyze how justice is represented and understood in at least two works studied.
Over a long time, the poor and weak majority have been victims of injustice in the community. This
theme plays a big part in Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. Satrapi’s
Persepolis is an autobiographical memoir which gives an account of a major turning point in Iran’s
history; the Islamic revolution and the Iran-Iraq war. Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go is a nostalgic novel
which represents youth that are unwillingly victims of the human cloning and organ donation program
and how their form relationships in their short-lived lives. The authors of both have used symbolism ,
irony and imagery to criticize inequality and inhumanity to represent a larger theme of injustice in the
texts.
