• Pettifer & Haupt constructed firm and
completed building by September 1930.

• On March 13, 1897, Governor

allow the establishment of SDSU to be

leading public research university, and a
federally designated Hispanic, Asian
American and Native American
Institution.

• Ellen Ochoa was a SDSU alumna.

KATHLEEN KENNEDY

• The SDSU Library is named after Malcolm A. Love, who served as SDSU president
from 1952 to 1971 which now in day, the SDSU library is named "love library".
TRADITIONS
Aztec nights:
-On-campus parties, movies, and social
events for all new and returning students,
including red & black Welcome Back Dance,
carnivals, etc.

Convocation:
-Is a ritual marking the completion of study,
which begins with a band run, led by the
SDSU Marching Band and Cheerleaders.

Homecoming:
-Each fall, thousands participate in the
annual tradition of welcoming alumni back
to SDSU, with festivities including a football
games, student competitions, and music.
