T-REX RANCH PARK RANGER TRAINING GUIDE: TRAINING TIPS
TRAINING
SET YOUR PARAMETERS FOR YOUR RANCH!
This can be your front or back yard, or special spot in a nearby park. Just
make sure your dinosaurs have enough space to roam.
TIPS
BLASTER PRACTICE
Print out your Blaster Target or make your own. Tape to a tree, fence, or
other sturdy object and take 10 giant steps back. Make sure all your friends
and grown-ups are standing back and practice your aim. If it’s too easy, take
three steps back and try again.
VELOCIRAPTORS
Velociraptors are “theropods,” like
the T-Rex, but they are much, much
smaller and known for their quick
speed. Velociraptors are carnivorous,
which means they ate meat.
TYRANNOSAURUS REX
The “King” of dinosaurs roamed the earth
between 66 and 68 million years ago
and were both quick and deadly! Also
carnivorous, T-Rex’s bite is still considered
the strongest of all the land animals that
ever lived!

STEGOSAURUS
Stegosaurus is a member of the “armoured
dinosaurs” family. The distinctive plates on
their back were not attached to their skeleton,
rather they grew out of their skin and were
probably not used to fend off enemies. The
spiked tail, however, was quite deadly!
TRICERATOPS
Triceratops is a member of a family of
dinosaurs that is known for their horns
and beak-like mouths. Triceratops was
a herbivore, which meant they only ate
plants.

PTERANODON
While these flying reptiles lived millions of years
ago alongside T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Pteranodon is
not technically a dinosaur as they do not share
a common ancestor. They are still welcome on
T-Rex Ranch!
BRACHIOSAURUS
Brachiosaurus is one member of a family of gigantic, plant-
eating dinosaurs called sauropods who walked on four legs
and had really long necks and tails. Other sauropods are
Apatosaurus, Brontosaurus, and Diplodocus.
