STARS AND GALAXIES IN THE UNIVERSE

GALAXIES

There are millions of GALAXIES in the universe.

What do galaxies mean? A galaxy is a set of bodies

consisting of millions of Stars with gas and dust

particles. Galaxy come in many form, such as spiral

galaxies, elliptical galaxies and irregular galaxies. Our

solar system is situated in the Milky Way Galaxy.

TYPE OF GALAXIES

SPIRAL

Example:Andromeda and The Milky Way

•The Milky Way is a medium large spiral galaxy.

•Our solar system is located at the Edge of one of the

spiral arms of the Milky Way

•The Milky Way consists of approximately 200 bilion

Stars and the Sun is one of it.

ELIPTICAL

 Example:Ursa Major and Messier 87

•Messier 87 (also known as Virgo A or NGC 4486,
generally abbreviated to M87) is
a supergiant elliptical galaxy

•It has a large population of globular cluster.

SOLAR SYSTEM

SOLAR SYSTEM
You have studies the solar system and planets in solar

system in primary school. Scan the following AR to see

a 3D animation of solar system.

Planet in the solar system

Mercury
•The closest planet to the Sun, approximately 57.9

millions kilometer.

•Its the smallest than the diameter of Earth, and 40%

than the Moon.

•The surface of Mercury is similar of the Moon. With

the asteroid craters and Cliff which are ten of

kilometer high.

Venus

•The second closest planet to the Sun.

•Venus is known as the greenhouse planet because of

the high content of carbon dioxide in its atmosphere.

•Venus also rotate from East to West. Which differs

from the Earth and the other planets.

•The size and Age of Venus is the same AS the earth,

but is climate is far more challenging.

Earth

•Third planet from the Sun. The only place in the

universe that is in habited by living Things. Earth has a

layer of air known as the atmosphere, which protect

the surface of the Earth from solar wind. more than

71% of the Earth is converted in water and Land 29%

Mars
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in
the Solar System, only being larger than Mercury. In the English language,
Mars is named for the Roman god of war. Mars is a terrestrial planet with a
thin atmosphere (less than 1% that of Earth's), and has a crust primarily
composed of elements similar to Earth's crust, as well as a core made of
iron and nickel. Mars has surface features such as impact craters, valleys,
dunes and polar ice caps. It has two small and irregularly shaped
moons, Phobos and Deimos.

Jupiter
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the
largest in the Solar System. It is a gas giant with a
mass more than two and a half times that of all the
other planets in the Solar System combined, while
being slightly less than one-thousandth the mass of
the Sun
Saturn
Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-
largest in the Solar System, after Jupiter. It is a gas giant
with an average radius of about nine and a half times that
of Earth. It has only one-eighth the average density of
Earth; however, with its larger volume, Saturn is over 95
times more massive.
URANUS
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. Its name is a reference
to the Greek god of the sky, Uranus, who, according to Greek
mythology, was the great-grandfather of Ares, grandfather of
Zeus and father of Cronus. It has the third-largest planetary radius
and fourth-largest planetary mass in the Solar System
Neptune
Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun and the farthest
known planet in the Solar System. It is the fourth-largest
planet in the Solar System by diameter, the third-most-
massive planet, and the densest giant planet. It is 17 times
the mass of Earth, and slightly more massive than its near-
twin Uranus.
