Each vehicle must be inspected separately according to its own criteria.
The object of inspecting vehicles is to ensure that the vehicle is in a safe condition to do the work it was designed for without injury or harm to users.

1. General body in good condition?

2. Wheels
- tyre pressure? / - tread ok? / - valve caps ok? / - wheels tightened? / - spare wheel ok?

3. Engine
- fan belt tension and condition ok?/ - rubber hoses condition? / - radiator water level and
quality? / - engine oil level ok?

4. Battery and Fuel Tank


- battery water, terminals, bracket ok? / - fuel cap sealed, no leaks

5. Pedals
- brakes working, brake fluid level ok? / - handbrake ok? / - clutch/ accelerator ok?

6. Lights/ Indicators
- head, dim, park, tail, stop lights working? / - rear/ front indicators working?

7. Rear and side mirrors condition ok?

8. All instrumentation (speedo, fuel guage, etc.) in good working order?

9. Steering correct?

10. Hooter working?

11. Reflector and chevron in good condition and clean?

12. Windscreen wipers effective?

13. Emergency equipment


- Fire extinguisher present? / - Fire extinguisher serviced and in good condition? / -First aid kit
present?
