WHAT IS SOUL MAKING? an alternative place to know oneself and to look at the depths and meaning of what we are doing in our daily life. (Narciso, 2016). it came from the greek word poieo, meaning, to be the author or maker of something; or poiesis, which means to bring something into concealment or to bring something that did not exist before into being. It involves both the personal (deepest being) and the impersonal (intelligent forces).

THE 5 PHASES OF SOUL MAKING SEEKING Point of self- recognition and knowing that each of us is a seeker. SETTLING Communication with the soul, with other human and non-human beings and with the world. SURRENDERING Takes us up and throws us down; calls for the wounds we bear to be accepted; forces us to spend time living in the darkness. SOUL MAKING Where we start growing up with some wisdom looking for the welfare of others. SOARING Conquering our wordly experiences of the material realities ro travel, which does not happen if we only want to fly. CRAFTING IMAGES Imaging or representing in any form, which may be through painting, sculpting, drawing, story- telling, poetry, dancing, composing, or taking notes. CRAFTING STORIES The moment we write, engrave, and inscribe our own thoughts, ideas, commentaries, criticisms, and positive and negative emotions, we are crafting stories.
Stories can be presented in any form- image, words, objects,
and musical composition. HOW TO USE RECYCLED MATERIALS FOR ARTWORK Upcycling is a type of art seeks to trandsform waste such as paper, cardboard, wood, glass, plastics, metals, and rubber into works of art. COLLAGES
Collages are probably one of the most classic forms of upcycled
art. With collage, you cut and glue images and words from old magazines/newspapers to create a layered image. BOTTLE UPCYCLED ART To create bottle cap art, start with an image of what you’d like to create. Then figure out what color bottle caps need to be where in order to create the design. Then glue the bottle caps down CARDBOARD ART Find a few pieces of cardboard lying around your house and start upcycling! Make sculptures out of cardboard by cutting them into small pieces.
