PROJECT WORK ON COMPUTERISED ACCOUNTING SYSTEM


AND E-FILING OF TAX RETURN

➢ Separate project files should be made for


A. Computerised Accounting System and
B. E-Filing of Tax Returns.
➢ Use A4 practical paper sheets for your projects.
➢ Use channel file for separate projects.
➢ After the Front Sheet, make an ‘Acknowledgement’ page and at the end of each
project make a ‘Bibliography’ page.
➢ Write on only one side of each page.
➢ Give proper page numbering.
➢ This project work is compulsory for all Honours and General students of
B. Com. Semester VI.
➢ ONLY OFFLINE SUBMISSION.

Date of Submission – Will be announced later in the Official WhatsApp Group.

Make 2 xerox copies each of your Project Work.

Submit 1 Original + 1 Xerox copy to the college, keep 1 Xerox copy with yourself.
2. E-Filing of Tax Returns (Both Honours and General) –
Submit 1 Original + 1 Xerox copy to the college, keep 1 Xerox copy with yourself.
Make a project on the following topics –

a. The financial sector that provides financial services to commercial and retail
customers is a huge sector and also the backbone of our economy. The different
financial services are Banking, Professional Advisory, Wealth
Management, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Stock Market, Tax/Audit
Consulting, Capital Restructuring, Portfolio Management, etc.

Choose any one of the above services and explain how Computerised Accounting
System is used in that field of Finance.

How would you use Tally in the following cases –


i. Create a company
ii. Enable GST features
iii. Ledger creation

Point out the steps to view 26AS form before e-filing.
Question -4
Show the calculation of Tax Payable by Mr. Bhatia.
Put the necessary information of income of Mr. Bhatia as mentioned above
properly, as if you are asked to furnish e-filing of ITR-1 on his behalf.
(Hints: - First mention the steps to be taken at the time of online submission of
ITR. Then, download and take a print out of the 3-pages ITR-1 Form from the
Income Tax Portal and fill it up properly and attach the filled-in ITR-1 Form at the
end of project note book.)
