As a vital member of our dynamic Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in
building cutting-edge platforms that enable seamless and scalable transactions within
the MENA region. Drawing on your proficiency in payment, shopping, and banking
systems and algorithms, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and
optimizing our secure and robust payment processing infrastructure.
In this exciting role, you will collaborate with a diverse ecosystem of talented engineers,
designers, analysts, product experts, and other cross-functional team members to
leverage system design, create technical solutions, dive deep into complex problems,
and ultimately revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank.
About the role

We are looking for mid career Data Analysts (min 2 years experience) to take us to the
next stage of growth, supporting functions across Finance, Product Analytics, and Risk
Analytics. The successful candidate will have experience developing analytical solutions
and assisting with data-driven decision making, while managing stakeholders across a
broad range of functions. Tamara is a high growth startup looking to develop key
product success metrics and enhancing decision making through data.
A Typtical Day:
● Drive business impact through actionable insights and identifying key
opportunities for rapid growth
● Build dashboards that provide accurate and actionable insights
● Work with the data engineering team on the data enrichment needs of the
product team
● Work with stakeholders across the business to prioritize projects based on impact
and drive delivery
● Developing a process to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in
complex data sets, empower informed decision making for stakeholders
● Ensuring governance and being a steward of good analytical practices
throughout the process
Your Expertise
● 2+ years of experience in data analytics
● Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or
other analytical field. Graduates from other fields with relevant knowledge and
experience are welcome to apply.
● Hands on experience using programming (Python, R) to manipulate large data
sets for insights
● Demonstrated proficiency in one or more implementations of SQL (e.g. MySQL,
PostgreSQL)
● Display understanding of your domain of interest - Whether its Finance, Risk, or
Product
● Experience using Machine Learning tools and techniques in R or Python a plus!
● Experience using one or more data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI,
Qlik)
● Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards with Apache Superset a
bonus
● Experience in a high-growth startup or unicorn a bonus!
