Welcome to IIBF. Congratulations on joining one of the largest institute of its kind in the world.
The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance is the premier Institute that imparts professional
education in Banking & Finance. IIBF was founded in 1928 as a company under Section 26 of
Indian Companies Act 1913 as Indian Institute of Bankers (IIB). IIB changed its name to IIBF in
2003. IIBF is ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute. IIBF is a Professional body for Banks/Financial
Institute having more than 10 Lakhs Ordinary members. IIBF is known for its Flagship Courses
JAIIB/DBF and CAIIB.
The IIBF Governing Council consist of members/representatives from the Reserve Bank of India
(RBI), State Bank of India (SBI), Indian Banking Association (IBS), Public/Private Sector Banks,
Cooperative Banks, Small Finance Banks and Academician/s. The Education and Research
Committees of the Institute consist of eminent practitioners in the field.
IIBF vision is to be premier Institute for developing and nurturing competent professionals in
banking and finance field.
IIBF mission is to develop professionally qualified and competent bankers and finance
professionals primarily through a process of education, training, examination, consultancy /

Professional Advancement

Professional Banker qualification.

In order to meet the twin objectives of bridging the skill gap in mid management level and
introducing a system of continuous professional development, a gold level aspirational
qualification called “Professional Banker” was made operational.

There will be different tracks for achieving the Professional Banker qualification and the course
curriculum will have sufficient rigor and each track leading to this qualification will represent
a critical and important area of banking.

The status of a “Professional Banker” will be conferred on a banking & finance professional if
he / she has a work experience of 5 years and acquires the following qualifications offered by
IIBF.
Certified BFSI Professional

As the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance sector in the country continues to rally towards
a growth-path, aided by the increased consumer preference for digital channels in the post-
pandemic times, three of the major Academic Institutions of the country in the Banking &
Financial education domain (IIBF, NISM and NIA) have come together to curate a unique
Professional Course on the entire BFSI sector. Aptly named as ‘Certified BFSI Professional’,
this course is aimed at addressing the ever-increasing industry demand for a pool of skilled,
dynamic and enterprising young men & women capable of taking the BFSI sector forward.

The course will have academic contents from all three major domains i.e., Banking & Finance,
Securities Markets & Insurance, carefully chosen to equip the participants with the knowledge
base to adapt to the highly dynamic sector.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certification

The Institute offers a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification programme.

The CPD program is open to current members of the Institute, regardless of previous
qualifications and it helps them in their career management.

E-Learning

In order to enable the candidates to understand the finer aspects of the subjects, the Institute
has several pedagogical tools, one of them being e-learning for its examinations.

#Find a course or specialization

 The Institute offers a wide variety of courses and the list of these courses are available
under Examination/Courses at a glance section along with Eligibility and fees.
 The registration & examination dates for the respective examinations are available
under the “Schedule” Tab of the respective courses. You can refer to these schedules
and prepare/register for the examinations/courses of your interest in a timely manner.
 The Examination guidelines and syllabus of courses are available under “Rules &
Syllabus” section of various courses.
 The list of exam centers/study books/video lectures & E-learning details of various
exams are also available under respective examinations.
 You can apply for exams from your login profile as and when the registration for
respective exams are live. Alternatively, you can also click on the “Apply Now” button
on the Homepage of the Institute’s website and register for various exams.
 Registrations will be on first come first serve basis. We urge you to register as early as
possible to avoid disappointment.

#Login profile
 You can download your Exam admit letters from your login profile after successfully
applying for the exam. Alternatively, it is also available for download on the website
before the examination under “Admit Cards” Tab in Examination/Courses.
 You can update your Basic Information & Contact details along with your Email ID
from the “Edit profile” section of your Login Profile.
 You can view your exam application History, view your transaction details/download
Invoice and also change your Membership Password from your Login profile.

#Results/Certificates

 The results are available for download on the website tentatively within 30 days from
the Exam date and Certificates are issued within 15-20 days thereafter. (i.e. 45 days
after the exam)
 You can view your provisional scores within 4-5 days of the examination under
“Provisional Scorecard” section of the Examination/Courses.
 The Final Results and consolidated mark sheet are available for download on the
website under “Results/ Consolidated Mark sheet” section of the Examination/Courses.
 Institute will be issuing Digitally Signed Certificate to the candidates who have enrolled
and passed the course/examination conducted from 1st Oct-2019 onwards. The
Digitally Signed Certificate will be emailed to the email id of the candidate registered
with the Institute. Alternatively, certificates are also available for download under
“Download e-certificate” section of the Examination/Courses.
 # Important Notices
 All the relevant notices pertaining to examinations are updated under Exam Related
Notices of the website.
 The latest improvements pertaining to ongoing examinations are also updated on the
Pop-Up Notice.
 The information pertaining to Exam schedule, postponement of examinations, merit list
of candidates, list of passed members, scribe guidelines etc. are also available under
Exam Related Notices.
Always visit the website 1 day prior to the examination for Important Announcements
and any updates on the exam/center/venue etc.
