    Proposal: E-Library for Azadi Army Public School and College Sargodha

    Cantt

    Abstract
    In the current digital age of the ever-shrinking interconnected world, we want to expose
    our students to our world via the internet. E-libraries are an important component for
    exposing our students for not only a global perspective, but also, access to the
    knowledge the world has to offer. E-libraries will give our students access to a plethora
    of open source e-library forums. Furthermore an e-library would be an excellent way for
    our students to do research based class work. At Azadi Army Public School and College
    Sargodha Cantt library, there is no enough space and cabinets for the new books. Our
    aim in the coming year is to involve more digital learning for educating our students. We
    are going to require our teachers to start doing more digital teaching. The e-libraries are
    essential to reach our goals of introducing and providing digital based education to our
    students.

    Reasons for Necessity


    1. We want the ability for our students to access tens-of-thousands of books on
    open resource e-libraries from around the world.
    2. E- Libraries can introduce our students to more digital and research based
    learning.
    3. The e-library would help facilitate students’ comprehension of universal systems
    of writing and citing sources.
    4. E- Libraries enable teachers to access more knowledge about what they are
    teaching. This can make lessons more interesting and enriching.
    5. E- Libraries provide multi-lingual resources for new and better understanding of
    language and culture.
    6. We want to expose our students to global perspective.
    7. The e-libraries can facilitate blended learning when not being used in daily library
    function.
    Scope:
    Due to less space in the library, we have only two desks (one for Librarian and one for
    Assistant Librarian), we kindly request for one small e-library facilities for both desks.
