NARRATIVE REPORT
1st Quarter Recognition Program for SY. 2022-2023
November 18, 2022

On the 18th of November 2022, Norberta Guillar Memorial National High School conducted
its 1 Quarter Recognition Program. Teachers, parents especially students were all looking forward to
st

this occasion where their accomplishments and achievements would be recognized and celebrated.
With a population of more than 500 students, only a few were able to bag the medals and certificates
for the first quarter of this school year 2022-2023. Much independence, diligence, patience and
dedication were seriously needed in order for them to get to this goal. Needless to say, that their
parents and guardians were all happy and proud as they escort their children to this event.
The program was done at 8:00 in the morning of November 18, 2022. Mr. Samuel
Sacapano Jr. hosted the program with much enthusiasm. It was opened by a prayer and the singing of
the National Anthem that was led by Mr. Neil R. Abay. The opening remarks were given by Head
Teacher-II Mrs. Crisanta C. Ycot who set the atmosphere in a welcoming and happy mood. The
school principal Mrs. Shirley P. Sumugat proceeded with an inspirational message where she
emphasized giving credits to both the students and their parents and guardians. She underscored the
diligence of the students towards their studies.
Achiever-students from all grade levels were acknowledged in this program. For the Grade-7,
Mr. Algen F. Olitres presented their honor students. Grade-8 honor students were presented by Mrs.
Irish Grace A. Dechavez while Grade-9 honor students were presented by Mrs. Evelyn D. Tugahan,
Mrs. Marie Joy Sabuero presented the honor students from Grade-10, Mrs Ressie Ann Pascual
presented for the Grade-II and Mrs. Macy Ybarsabal presented for the Grade-12.
The event was truly a celebration of success. NGMNHS teachers were happy to have finally
given this experience to the students and parents/guardians. It was and will always be the concern of
the school to give due credits to the academic achievement of their learners, as well as to make the
parents and guardians know and feel that their efforts are being acknowledged too. The program was
closed with some remarks from Mrs. Marie Joy Sabuero who left a message of challenge to the
students to keep the good work they are doing in the succeeding years.
