Completion is indeed a memorable and remarkable day to all the completers. It is considered
as a fulfilling moment and a once in a lifetime moment. It has been a very tough yet exciting
school year. A year full of adjustment. From being used to the new normal set up to being
back to the old normal set up. To be able to cope with these abrupt changes is something that
we need to thank God for his Unfailing Love and Protection. This year’s theme K to 12
Graduates: Molded through a resilient educational foundation. According to Aileen Kelly,
You are not here to be bowed down by the weight of the world, you are here to make the very
most of live and enjoy every moment of it because you are living a balanced life and there is
a constant giving and receiving. The very reason why you are here in this momentous event is
because of your attitude. Your attitude towards life is the most important this time. Your
completion is a time of evolvement, therefore, you are reminded that this is not a time to quit
but an opportunity to show to people that you have made it.
I am here and I am tasked to deliver a message to you, our dear completers but last night, I’m
wondering, what type of message am I going to deliver to my students? So, I asked myself,
makikinig pa ba kaya kayo saakin eh halos araw araw ko namang ginagawa ito sa harapan
ninyo. Kaya sabi ko, sige, let’s do it casually, let’s do it like how we used to do it. Let’s do it
like how we are relating probability in real life. Probability, sabi ninyo saken dati, ito ay
chance, tyansa, tyansa na mangyari ang mga bagay bagay sa ating buhay. Dahil sa buhay
natin, as we, your teachers always taught to you that Life is all about taking chances. So
kapag may dumating na oppurtunities satin, it is up to us kung paano natin ito kukunin, it is
up to you, not from your friends nor from your family members, but you. In the end, a single
peso coin always have two faces, the head and the tail. Reminding us that we only have two
outcomes. It’s either we win or we lose. We succeed or we fail. Now what happens to you if
you failed to reach your goal? Are you going to quit? No. Kaya nga may pambura ang lapis
diba? May pambura ang lapis dahil pwedeng pwede tayong magsimula ulit kapag
nagkakamali tayo. Ngayon, nauubos ba ang pambura sa lapis, of course yes, does it mean our
chances are limited? No. Nauubos ang pambura ng lapis pero pwede tayong bumili ng
bagong lapis. We may fail a lot of times in our lives but these stories can be a testament that a
second chance can be just as sweet and you can still achieve your ultimate, the second time
around.
I’m actually not ready for this speech. not because I’m out of words, hindi dahil wala akong
masabi but because, I’m feeling mixed emotions. I’m feeling happy because you are now a
step closer to your ultimates but at the same time sad that because of some unavoidable
reasons, I know that some of you might not take you senior high school here. But always
remember, where ever you go, that you are a product of Malimpin National High school.
To all the completers, let your dreams inspire you to be always on the top. Dream big and
Aim high. Pursue your dreams. If you wanted to be a Ceo of a Big company, work for it. If
you wanted to be an entrepreneur, go for it. If you wish to be soldier, claim it. If you wanted
to be an Engineer, a Teacher, a Policemen, a Doctor, a chef, a hotelier, a bartender, a sea
fearer and many many more… go for it! Go out of your comfort zones and discover what life
has to offer but, I’m also reminding you that a dream without an action, is just an ambition.
