Planning Permission
(The Right to Develop)

is the permission required under


Town and Country Planning Act
1976 (Act 172) in order to be
allowed to build on land, or
change the use of land or buildings
The Requirement of Planning Permission

The requirement of the Planning Submission is come under :

Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172), section 19. (1)

“19.(1) No person, other than a local authority, shall commence,


undertake, or carry out any development unless planning permission
in respect of the development has been granted to him under section
22 or extended under subsection 24(3)”

Where any development need to have planning approval from local


authority before any development work can be carry out.
DOCUMENT TOWNPLANNER NEEDED FROM CIVIL ENGINEER

“development” means

 the carrying out of any building, engineering, mining,


industrial,

 or other similar operation in, on, over, or under land,

 the making of any material change in the use of any


land or

 building or any part thereof, or the subdivision or


amalgamation of lands
