Response:
If swallowed: immediately call a poison center/doctor. Do not induce
vomiting. Store locked up.
If on skin or hair: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin
with plenty of water or shower. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical
advice/attention. If exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention
If in eyes: Rinse cautiously water for several minutes. Remove contact
lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison
center/doctor. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
If inhaled: removed person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
If Inhaled: Call a Poison Control Center or doctor / physician if you well
unwell. Rinse mouth. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before
reuse.
In case of fire: use carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol resistant foam,
water spray or fog. If use water, do not use a solid-water-stream as it may
scatter and spread fire.

vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn’t get into the
lungs.
If inhaled : Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if Inhaled or if you feel unwell. If
breathing is difficult, remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position
comfortable for breathing. Give oxygen or artificial respiration if needed.
Protection of first-aiders : No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training.
If it is suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an
appropriate mask or self-contained breathing apparatus. It may be dangerous to
the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Aspiration Hazard : Aspiration into the lungs can cause severe lung damage and is a medical
emergency. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a
physician or hospital emergency room immediately. If victim is drowsy or
unconscious and vomiting, place on the left side with the head down. If
possible do not leave victim unattended and observe closely for adequacy of
breathing.
Most important symptoms : See Section 11 for more detailed information on health effects and symptoms.
and effects, both acute and
delayed
Suitable extinguishing media : Carbon dioxide, Dry chemical, alcohol resistant foam, water spray or fog. Do not
discharge extinguishing waters into the aquatic environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing : Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
media
Hazardous thermal :
combustion products May include oxides of carbon (carbon monoxide & carbon dioxide). Avoid
Contact with strong oxidizers which can produce irritating fumes.
Special protective equipment : Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, NIOSH-approved self-
for firefighters contained positive pressure or pressure demand breathing apparatus,
protective clothing and face mask in positive pressure mode. Use water to
cool containers exposed to flames. Prevent human exposure to fire,
fumes, smoke, and products of combustion. Move containers from fire
area if you can do so without risk.

protective equipment and Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel
emergency procedures from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Avoid breathing
vapor or mist. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate respirator when
ventilation is inadequate. Put on appropriate personal protective equipment (see
section 8).
Environmental precautions : Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Avoid dispersal of spilled
material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Methods and materials for : Eliminate all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames
containment and cleaning up to immediate area). Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk.
Dike the spilled material, where this is possible.
Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements, or confined areas.
Small spill - Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill
area. Wipe up with an inert, absorbent material. Clean surface
thoroughly to remove residual contamination. Dispose of via a
licensed waste disposal contractor.
Large spill - Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill
area. Approach release from upwind. Dike spill area and do not allow
product to reach sewage system or surface or ground water. Notify
any reportable spill authorities. Contain and collect spillage with non-
combustible, absorbent material such as sand, earth, vermiculite or
diatomaceous earth and place in container for disposal according to
local regulations. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposal contractor.
Contaminated absorbent material may pose the same hazard as the
spilled product.
Never return spills to original containers for re-use. Clean up in
accordance with all applicable regulations. For waste disposal, see
section 13 of the SDS.
If RQ (Reportable Quantity) is exceeded or if spills enter a body of water, report immediately to the USEPA’s
National Response Center at (800) 424-8802. Check with your local and state regulators regarding their
reporting requirements.
Advice on safe handling : DANGER. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE LIQUID. Keep away from heat and
sources of ignition. Ground all equipment and container materials. Put on
appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8). Eating,
drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is
handled, stored and processed.
Workers should wash hands and face before eating and drinking. Do
not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid
breathing vapor or mist. Use only with adequate ventilation. Empty
containers retain product residue and can be hazardous. Do not
reuse container.
Take protective measures against static discharge. Ground / Bond
container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical,
ventilating, lighting, and equipment. Use only non-sparking tools.

Conditions for safe storage : Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in a dry, cool and well-
ventilated area, away from oxidizers and other incompatible materials
(see section 10). Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready
for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed
and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled
containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental
contamination.
Eye protection : Use chemical safety goggles and/or full-face shield where splashing is possible.
Maintain eye wash station and quick-drench facilities in work area. Safety
glasses with side-shields. If splashes are likely to occur, wear goggles and face-
shield.
Hand protection : Chemical-resistant gloves: Nitrile or Neoprene gloves.
Skin protection : Wear impervious protective clothing, including boots, gloves (Chemical-resistant
Nitrile or Neoprene), lab coat, apron or coveralls, as appropriate, to prevent skin
contact. Closed toe shoes recommended.
Respiratory protection : If the exposure limit is exceeded, an approved full-face piece respirator must be
used. For emergencies or instances where the exposure levels are not known,
use a full-face piece positive- pressure, air-supplied respirator. Air purifying
respirators do not protect workers in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
Hygiene measures : Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products,
before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working
period. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the
