    Artificial intelligence refers to machines that can think and perform tasks like humans through complex algorithms. There are two types of AI: weak AI that focuses on specific tasks, and strong AI from science fiction that can generate its own thoughts and emotions. Currently, most AI applications are weak and used for tasks like digital assistants, security, vehicles, commerce, banking, and games. AI has advantages over humans such as speed, accuracy, and ability to perform repetitive tasks constantly. However, AI also has disadvantages including high costs, lack of creativity, potential job losses, inability to feel emotions, and absence of ethics. If AI continues advancing, it may eventually surpass human intelligence and significantly transform civilization.

    ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

    Artificial intelligence or what we usually call AI refers to the ability of computers or


    machines that simulate intellectual abilities and characteristics similar to humans. This
    intelligence is built with complex algorithm and mathematical function that would result in a
    computer or a machine that is able to think, learn, and perform task that commonly requires
    human level of intelligence. Psychologist have generally agreed that adaptation is the key to
    understanding intelligence and what it does which for the most part, adaptation involves
    making a change in oneself in order to cope more effectively with the surrounding
    environment and situation. Effective adaptation draws upon several cognitive processes, such
    as perception, learning, memory, reasoning, and problem solving which are the component of
    intelligence Artificial intelligence programmed to mimic. Artificial Intelligence can be
    generally classified into weak ai and strong ai. Weak AI or narrow AI is the type of AI that
    focuses on one task because the AI was programmed and train to only operate on one specific
    task meaning the Artificial Intelligence are strong and capable at doing their particular task
    but are weak and incapable at performing task outside of their own domain. Strong AI in the
    other hand is the type of AI that generally depicted in fiction usually characterized by their
    incredible level of awareness and intelligence to the point where they could generate their
    own emotion and thought making their action unpredictable to humans. This level of AI is
    still theoretical and is yet to be achieved in the real world. These days, we often encounter
    Artificial Intelligence in our daily activity to the point where some aspect of our life is
    majorly dependent on the usage of AI. AI can be found on our phone, social media platform,
    security and surveillance, autonomous vehicle, e-commerce, banking and finance, video
    games, and many more. These enormous usage of AI in our daily life is with the reason that
    AI has a lot of advantages compared to human when performing certain task. Advantages of
    AI are reduction of human error, faster decision thinking, productive 24/7, unbiased decision,
    able to perform repetitive tasks, pattern identification, and many more. With the many
    advantages of AI, there also disadvantages too such as high cost, no creativity, human
    unemployment, emotionless, make humans lazy, and no ethics. With the current growth of AI,
    we are expected to reach technological growth that is out of control to the point where we
    could have an Artificial Intelligence that exceed human intelligence and change the course of
    our civilization.
