Flight Instructor Endorsement Guide

Student Pilot
Solo Flight - FAR 61.87

1.

Aeronautical Knowledge - FAR 61.87(b)

I have administered and Mr./Ms. has satisfactorily completed a pre-solo knowledge test demonstrating knowledge of those areas required by FAR 61.87 (b)(1)(i)(ii)(iii) and I have reviewed with him/her all incorrect answers. This knowledge test included flight characteristics and operational limitations of a (make and model of aircraft) at (name of airport). 2. Pre-Solo Flight Training - FAR 61.87 (c)

I have given Mr/Ms. the flight training required by FAR 61.87(c) in a (make and model of aircraft). He/she has demonstrated satisfactory proficiency in the maneuvers and procedures listed in FAR 61.87(i)(1) through (19) and may operate a (make and model aircraft) in daytime solo flight. 3. 90 - Day Proficiency - FAR 61.87(i)

I have given Mr/Ms the flight training required by FAR 61.87(l). He/she has met the requirements of FAR 61.87(i) and is competent to operate a (make and model of aircraft) in day solo flight at (name of airport). This endorsement is not valid after (month, day, year ). 4. Solo Cross Country - FAR 61.93(c)(2)(i)

I have given Mr/Ms___________ the flight training required by FAR 61.93 (j)(1-10) in a (make and model aircraft). He/she has demonstrated satisfactory proficiency in the maneuvers and procedures listed in FAR 61.93(j) and may operate a (aircraft make and model) on solo cross-country flights.. 5. PRIVATE PILOT
6. Aeronautical Knowledge - FAR 61.35(a) & 61.105(b)(1-13)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the applicable ground instruction required by FAR 61.105(b)(1-13) and find him/her prepared for the private pilot - glider aeronautical knowledge test. 7. Flight Proficiency - FAR 61.107

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the ground and flight training required by FAR 61.107(b)(6) and find him/her prepared for the private pilot practical test. 8. Practical Test - FAR 61.39(a)(6)

I certify that Mr/Ms has received the training time required within the preceding 60 days in preparation for the private pilot - glider practical test and find him/her prepared for that test. He/she has demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of the subject areas found deficient on the private pilot aeronautical knowledge test.

COMMERCIAL PILOT
9. Aeronautical Knowledge - FAR 61.35(a) & 61.125(b)(1-16)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the applicable ground training required by FAR 61.125(b)(1-15) and find him/her prepared for the commercial pilot - glider aeronautical test. 10. Flight Proficiency - FAR 61.127

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the flight training required by FAR 61.127(b)(6) and find him/her prepared for the commercial pilot - glider practical test. 11. Practical Test - FAR 61.39(a)(6)

I certify that Mr/Ms has received the training time required within the preceding 60 days in preparation for the commercial pilot - glider practical test and find him/her prepared for that test. He/she has demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of the subject areas found deficient on the commercial pilot aeronautical knowledge test.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR
12. Fundamentals of Instruction Knowledge Test - FAR 61.185(a)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the ground instruction required by FAR 61.185(a) and find him/her prepared for the Fundamentals of Instruction knowledge test. 13. Aircraft Category Aeronautical Knowledge Test - FAR 61.185(a)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the ground instruction required by FAR 61.185(a)(6) and find him/her prepared for the flight instructor - glider knowledge test. 14. Flight Proficiency - FAR 61.187(a)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the ground and flight training required by FAR 61.187(b)(6) and find him/her proficient to pass the Flight Instructor - Glider practical test. 15. Stall Awareness and Spin Training - FAR 61.183(i)

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms the flight training required by FAR 61.183(i) and find him/her competent and to possess instructional proficiency in stall awareness, spin entry, spins, and spin recovery procedures. 16. Practical Test Prerequisites - FAR 61.39

I certify that Mr/Ms has received the training time required within the preceding 60 days in preparation for the flight instructor - glider practical test and find him/her prepared for the flight instructor - glider practical test. He/she has demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of the subject areas found deficient on the Fundamentals of Instruction (if required) and flight instructor - glider knowledge test.

ADDITIONAL ENDORSEMENTS
17. Endorsement for Solo Flight for an Additional Aircraft Category - FAR 61.31

I certify that I have given Mr/Ms , holder of pilot certificate # , the ground and flight training required by FAR 61.31(d) and find him/her proficient in the operation of a (make and model aircraft) 18. Endorsement for Aeronautical Knowledge for an Additional Rating FAR 61.63(b)(2)

I certify that Mr/Ms , holder of pilot certificate # , has been found competent in the aeronautical knowledge areas of (FAR 61.105(b)(1-13) or FAR 61.125 (b)(1-15), as appropriate) for the addition of a glider category rating. 19. Glider Category Additional Rating Practical Test - FAR 61.63

I certify that Mr/Ms , holder of pilot certificate # has been found proficient in the areas of operation of FAR (61.107(b)(6)(I-xi) or 61.127(b)(6)(I-xi) appropriate to the rating sought) for the addition of a glider category rating. 20. Endorsement for Self-Launch

I certify that Mr/Ms , holder of pilot certificate # , has received and satisfactorily accomplished ground and flight training required by FAR 61.31(j)(1)(iii) and find him/her proficient in self-launch procedures and operations. * Each endorsement should include the current date, flight instructor=s name, = instructor number, and instructor expiration date. The instructor should maintain a record of each endorsement for a minimum of three years per FAR 61.189(b). *Endorsements may be altered to address individual circumstance as needed.
