    Handling of DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)

    DPF system is able to regenerate flammable to burn up


    excessive filtrated carbon. But Ash & Sulfate is not
    flammable. Therefore DPF require clean up at every
    maintenance interval time.

    1. IMPORTANT FUNDAMENTALS YOU MUST KNOW

    Use the specified Fuel & proper Engine Oil (DH-2).


    Do not use Fuel & Engine Oil of bad quality or substitute Fuel & Engine Oil.
    It may deteriorate engine performance and may cause trouble which will not be
    covered by warranty.

    2. DPF MAINTENANCE
    >> Automatically regeneration: When DPF catch carbon, ECU start regeneration
    automatically for 10 to 25 mins to burn out the accumulated filtrated carbon.
    >> Manual regeneration: When ECU cannot start automatically regeneration mode,
    display indicate to prompt starting the manual regeneration mode. 10 to 30 min.
    >> Annual maintenance: DPF require Clean up every period by KOBELCO dealer.

    3. DPF REGENERATION
    The machine enters the

    time is required for the automatic regeneration.
    >> If an appropriate load is applied on the machine during
    operation, the automatic regeneration time can be shortened.

    4. REMOVE THE DPF

    >>For exporting DPF machines to some countries are not readily available,
    the DPF should be removed and the engine's computer should also be replaced.
    >> KOBELCO offers authorized modification processes that remove DPF from the
    machine and commercial engine configurations. (Modification fee required.)
    >> Please ask details to our sales staff for removal of DPF/replacement for engine
    controller.
