believe in. Values are nurtured and taught to us starting by parents or guardians and
later on be honed by us into a better understanding of what really mentality there is. For
example the values of a successful person, what were the reasons that made it possible
for them to be successful in life.

Values Education (5pts)

- Nowadays the generation of Gen S's are somewhat dissapointing because of how they
interact with their elders. I think personally that learning values and studying what is the
real meaning behind it is crucial so that our next generation won't be full of out of respect
people who are unable to be taught due to pride. Also it is in the nature of Filipinos to be
a lot of M; Matulungin, Mapagunawa, Masunurin ang many more, but nowadays I don't
think these are practiced anymore due to lack of proper education regarding how one
must act to certain events and approach certain people.

Integrity (5pts)
- It is the wholeheartedness of a person whether he/she is willing to stand by their own
opinions, morals, values, and principles. It is the quality of being sure of what you really
want as a whole, and a state of being honest when it comes to the words, actions and
mentality you show other people.

Discipline (5pts)
- It is the state of mind of a person or people where he/she shows a firm control over
themselves, to be formal and pleasant to other people. It is when a person is sticking by
the rules and regulations set by an organization to prove their ability to follow
commands.

Hard work (5pts)

- This value means to work with effort when you are doing a task of something in order to
give your best. Hard work means to give it your boundary and the limit of what you can
do or give more in order to show you are dedicated in the job you have.

Explain briefly at least three (3) duties of the Filipino people that are almost/
always practiced by the common “tao.” (10pts)

- One of the most common practices of a person is the 1. "pagmamano" to our elders
whom raised and helps the community to guide us to better understanding of the
cultures of Pinoy. Doing the bless with our elders shows how deeply filpinos respect their
elderly. 2. The pagamit ng po at opo when we use these two it signifies that we are
being respectful of the people in our community whether it is our elder sister or grandma,
we filpinos always show respect through saying this and doing the bless action. 3. Lastly
the paghahanda when we filpinos have bisita we serve them everything that we have or
even find something to give to them even if we ourselves don't have the ability to eat
today, it is a custom to give our guests a welcoming stay.

What are the essential values you believe must be practiced by students like you?
- One of the essential values i think every student must know is the using of ate and kuya
when addressing the people elder than them. One must know that speaking indirectly or
calling a person Hoy is very offensive for both genders.

What values are most important to you? How does it help you?
- For me Integrity, Honesty, Sincerity and Empathy are values that shouldn't be lost in a
person in order to keep their morale alive. Being true to and firm in believing something
is a trait I never wish to be lost, because it makes me who I am, and it is a great asset
for anybody to have. Being true to your words is also important because it builds
character and people trust your for it. The words shouldn't be just said it should also
come with actions, genuiness should not be begged of someone, but given without even
mentioning. Of course, Lastly a person should have empathy in order to put
herself/himself in other people's shoes, it is a value that makes a human because it tells
the story of how you are willing to understand somebody even though you are not
required to.

What are 4 types of values?

- The four types of values are functional value, monetary value, social value, and
psychological value. These are values that builds a person, hones the personality and of
course build the kind of character a person is. It tells many things about the person
including the many things they believe in, whether it is true or not.

What are values in your own simple words?

- Values for me is what makes a person unique than everyone else, because it is
characterized by his/her beliefs spiritually and mentally. Opening up the topic about
spirituality, i think that if you are rich in spirit you are also rich in faith, because you have
a deeper understanding of the support system that we have and believe in (this may
vary depending on your religion) Second, I also think that if you are a mentally rich
person, you are available to understand things in a simplier way without even adding up
stress to other people you might encounter. The mentality that you have serves as the
pulling force that makes you attractive romantically and generally to other people.

What are personal values? Give your own examples

- I think that personal values are those values that you have learned and taught yourself
to adapt because you think that this is the right thing to do or better way for you to have
a positive outlook in life. I think being a naturally-empathetic person made me
understanding towards the situation of others, and developing my next value which is
being compassionate. I think I am compassionate, because I see the side of people that
others tend to ignore and I have a soft spot for many people who are in need. Lastly, I
think that being honest is also a virtue because it is something that we practice and hone
into perfection.

What are the 12 core values? Discuss them.

- The 12 core values are categorized into 4 groups and those are love for God,love for
People,Job Quality,and Attitude.

- Intimacy,Purity, and anointing are under love for God.Intimacy talks about our
relationship with God which are so personal that we can't express it by words but with
our hearts and it also talks about how God created us as he is longing for an intimate
relationship with us.Purity is our pure and true love for God where we only look at the
one we love.It also has a significant benefit and that is it allows you to enter God's
presence.

- Compassion,Relationships, and Mentoring are under Love for People.Compassion is

known as being aware and understanding the sufferings of other people. This is also
where we known the compassion of strangers towards those who are vulnerable.
Relationships is our relationship with other people like ou feelings towards them,Our
attraction and affection that we want to express to them.Mentoring is also a way where
we can develop love for people as we teach them and we are able to interact with
them.We can show our leadership skills and communication skills to them as we are
slowly learning from each other.

- Excellence,Fruitfulness, and Frugality are under Job Quality.Excellence is where we can

show how good we are and how we improved over time,It shows our dedication and
hard work towards
ssosomething. Fruitfulness is where we can show many ideas that can produce into
positive results and where we can pitch ideas that can result in useful things. and those
which are under Attitude are Joy,Unity and Passion.Just like it's name "Joy" it shows
how happy and jolly we are towards something especially to other people.Unity is we
can how our harmony and we can unite as one for the betterment of the world.Passion is
when we are showing strong emotions about something, where can truly show our
passion for the things we do and how proud we are to do something like that.

How do we develop values?

- We can develop values without even knowing but developing values may take
time.Developing values is not as easy as people thought but there are some that are
easy to develop like those under the love for God and love for People. We can develop it
by doing it constantly or by practicing it or by applying it in our daily lives.

What are values in culture?

- Culture Values are composed in 5 and those are aesthetic,Social,Symbolic,Spiritual, and
Educational Value.Culture Values are oftentimes called as cultural value
preference, these values are not positive nor negative but are only differences, this are
also informed by the cultures that we are mostly taking part in.What are the most
important family values? Why?
- The most important family values should be the fidelity of a person. If a child is true and
loyal to their parents they would not leave them behind to rot, some of us here is okay
with leaving the elders to be on their own which is not okay. As Filipinos we are inclined
to act in a certain way due to our culture and due to things that are culturally correct in
nature, just for example being mapagmalasakit sa kapwa that is an example of an
important family value one should have in order for the husband and wife to be together
forever they must have faith in other and are loyal likewise.

How do you use values?

- We tend to use values in connecting, interacting, and of course collaborating with other
people. Why? Because through communicating, we can show other people the essence
of our values. A certain person wouldn't know how honest you are if they don't know you
fully or if you do not assess yourself worthy to be called honest. A person with Integrity
should be firm and true not only in words but in actions. In short you can only make use
of your values if you share them with other people, because people are the judges of
what people serve due to human nature.

Can values change?

- I think that values change if it is corrupted by negative ideas. A person change because
of what informations are implanted on them. Honesty is lost when a person is dishonest
and lies in order to shape themselves into betterment. Boldness is lost when a person is
no longer firm and ready to fight for what he/she thinks is morally and ethically right.
There are lot of reasons for a person to believe in the wrong, but corruption of ideas is
primarily the worst and common reason of change in a person's values.

What do you believe can shape your personal values?

- I think that the mind can shape our personal values, because our thoughts depends on
our mind and our thoughts make up our belief and that belief is the one keeping firm into
grasping values we set on ourselves. I think that with the right circle of friends I am able
to shape my self into a better person because it is true what they say that you are who
you became friends with because you tend to be influenced by how they talk, act, and
even think. So if the peers are positive in life you are also positive, but if they are lost in
a sea full of sharks then you are also endangered.
