- Values are characterized by the belief of a person and what aspects in life do they
believe in. Values are nurtured and taught to us starting by parents or guardians and
later on be honed by us into a better understanding of what really mentality there is. For
example the values of a successful person, what were the reasons that made it possible
for them to be successful in life.
- Nowadays the generation of Gen S's are somewhat dissapointing because of how they
interact with their elders. I think personally that learning values and studying what is the
real meaning behind it is crucial so that our next generation won't be full of out of respect
people who are unable to be taught due to pride. Also it is in the nature of Filipinos to be
a lot of M; Matulungin, Mapagunawa, Masunurin ang many more, but nowadays I don't
think these are practiced anymore due to lack of proper education regarding how one
must act to certain events and approach certain people.
Integrity (5pts)
- It is the wholeheartedness of a person whether he/she is willing to stand by their own
opinions, morals, values, and principles. It is the quality of being sure of what you really
want as a whole, and a state of being honest when it comes to the words, actions and
mentality you show other people.
Discipline (5pts)
- It is the state of mind of a person or people where he/she shows a firm control over
themselves, to be formal and pleasant to other people. It is when a person is sticking by
the rules and regulations set by an organization to prove their ability to follow
commands.
Explain briefly at least three (3) duties of the Filipino people that are almost/
always practiced by the common “tao.” (10pts)
- One of the most common practices of a person is the 1. "pagmamano" to our elders
whom raised and helps the community to guide us to better understanding of the
cultures of Pinoy. Doing the bless with our elders shows how deeply filpinos respect their
elderly. 2. The pagamit ng po at opo when we use these two it signifies that we are
being respectful of the people in our community whether it is our elder sister or grandma,
we filpinos always show respect through saying this and doing the bless action. 3. Lastly
the paghahanda when we filpinos have bisita we serve them everything that we have or
even find something to give to them even if we ourselves don't have the ability to eat
today, it is a custom to give our guests a welcoming stay.
What are the essential values you believe must be practiced by students like you?
- One of the essential values i think every student must know is the using of ate and kuya
when addressing the people elder than them. One must know that speaking indirectly or
calling a person Hoy is very offensive for both genders.
What values are most important to you? How does it help you?
- For me Integrity, Honesty, Sincerity and Empathy are values that shouldn't be lost in a
person in order to keep their morale alive. Being true to and firm in believing something
is a trait I never wish to be lost, because it makes me who I am, and it is a great asset
for anybody to have. Being true to your words is also important because it builds
character and people trust your for it. The words shouldn't be just said it should also
come with actions, genuiness should not be begged of someone, but given without even
mentioning. Of course, Lastly a person should have empathy in order to put
herself/himself in other people's shoes, it is a value that makes a human because it tells
the story of how you are willing to understand somebody even though you are not
required to.
- The 12 core values are categorized into 4 groups and those are love for God,love for
People,Job Quality,and Attitude.
- Intimacy,Purity, and anointing are under love for God.Intimacy talks about our
relationship with God which are so personal that we can't express it by words but with
our hearts and it also talks about how God created us as he is longing for an intimate
relationship with us.Purity is our pure and true love for God where we only look at the
one we love.It also has a significant benefit and that is it allows you to enter God's
presence.
- I think that the mind can shape our personal values, because our thoughts depends on
our mind and our thoughts make up our belief and that belief is the one keeping firm into
grasping values we set on ourselves. I think that with the right circle of friends I am able
to shape my self into a better person because it is true what they say that you are who
you became friends with because you tend to be influenced by how they talk, act, and
even think. So if the peers are positive in life you are also positive, but if they are lost in
a sea full of sharks then you are also endangered.
