TABLE OF CONTENTS
1.1 Scope
This document specifies the minimum technical requirements for the rotary positive displacement
transfer pumpsets associated with the airport fuel depot and tanker offloading facilities at Airport Fuel
Depot for the Fuel Depot and Hydrant Network (UTP Project).
This specification covers the following pumps:
- Offloading Pumps
- Defuel Transfer Pump
- Defuel Loading Pump
- Dispenser Drain Pump
- Fuel Recovery Pump
1.2 Precedence
Any case of apparent conflict between the requirements of this Specification and any other relevant
documents shall be notified to the Clients Representative. Unless otherwise agreed, the following
descending order of precedence shall apply:
1st Local Authority or Statutory Regulations
2nd This Specification
3rd Other Project Specifications as referenced in the Technical Requisition
4th Reference Codes, Standards and Recommendations listed below
5th Other Internationally recognised Codes and Standards as appropriate
1.3 Definitions
GAA is the Global Aero Associates Company Limited (GAA) or its nominated agent or representative.
The “Contractor” is the person appointed by Global Aero Associates Company Limited (GAA) for the
purposes of this Contract.
The “Supplier” is the Vendor Manufacturer or Seller of the equipment defined in the Specification.
The “Purchaser” is the Contractor or their appointed agent or representative
Throughout this document the following terminology is used:
“must” signifies a legal or statutory requirement
“shall” signifies a requirement made mandatory by this Specification
“may” signifies a feature which is discretionary in the context in which it is applied
“will” signifies a feature which the Supplier may assume to be already present.

2.6 Marking
A stainless steel nameplate shall be permanently attached to each pumpset. The nameplate shall state
as a minimum requirement:
• The equipment tag number
• The pump rated head and flow
• The Supplier’s model and serial number
3.0 DOCUMENTATION
Inspection and testing as detailed below and in accordance with the data sheets shall be
carried out at the Supplier’s works.
The Purchaser shall have right of entry to all Supplier, and Sub-Supplier plants where work
upon or testing of equipment is in progress.
On satisfactory completion and acceptance of each test the Supplier shall submit to the
Purchaser six copies of test certificates. These shall include functional and material test
certificates, hydrostatic test certificates, and head/capacity, efficiency, NPSH and power
curves.
The Test Certificate shall bear the Purchaser's name and Order Number, the Supplier’s name
and seal, and the Serial Number of the equipment tested.
Test Certificates must be approved by the Purchaser prior to issue of shipping instructions.
All items shall be provided with adequate protection against corrosion, mechanical damage
and deterioration until they are unpacked at site. Flanged nozzles shall be sealed and
protected. The Supplier shall ensure that all packing and protection supplied for the materials
are adequate to maintain the material guarantees. The Supplier shall advise the Purchaser of
the intended packing controls.
