    The R-73 short-range missile with a thermal homing head is designed to
    intercept and destroy highly maneuverable manned and unmanned enemy
    vehicles in close air combat day and night, from any direction, to the front
    and rear hemispheres, against the background of the earth and with active
    electronic countermeasures.

    The design of the R-73 missile meets the characteristics of close combat
    of modern fighters.

    It is possible to destroy automatic drifting balloons, cruise missiles and


    helicopters.
