A. Description of Business

My business name is Fresh Fair Merienda. It is located in Matalaba Sta. Cruz Marinduque.
It is a meryenda snack that will give different taste that they don’t usually eat. It is important
that business owner seriously consider the different forms of business organization such as
sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. The proposed business is a sole proprietor.
A sole proprietorship is a business that is owned and operated by a natural person
(individual). This is the simplest form of business entity. The sole proprietorship is not a
legal entity. The business has no existence separate from the owner who is called the
proprietor.

The proposed business is a small meryenda business to be operated by a Grade 12 student of

Malindig. The Fresh Fair Merienda contains three food choices: Churros, Potato Chips, and
lemonade. Churros are tasty deep fried, ridged sticks of dough, sugar- sprinkled and served
with warm chocolate sauce for dipping. Potato chips or crisps are thin slices of potato that
have been either deep fried or baked until crunchy. They are commonly served as a snack,
side dish or appetizer. Lemonade is a sweetened lemon-flavored beverage. It is a
traditionally homemade drink using lemon juice, water and a sweetener such as cane sugar,
honey or simple syrup. Our customers will be adults and teenagers that are active in social
media. The price of Churros, Potato chips and lemonade will be base per serving. My
product is unique because here in our place, we are the only one who makes churros. We
want to introduce Churros because it is unique and its price is very negotiable.

B. Products/ Services

The products that Fresh Fair Merienda offers are Churros, Potato chips or crisps, and
lemonade. Churros is a Mexican dessert which is popular in US and in Philippine cuisine. It
is made of simple pastry fried in hot oil and coated with cinnamon and sugar, served with
chocolate sauce for dipping. The other product is potato chips or crisps, thin slices of potato
that have been either deep fried or baked until crunchy. My products differ from my
competitors because my products are not the typical snacks that people eat every day. Also
because of the opportunity that only few people are selling these snacks especially the
churros. We’ve come up to these choices of food because people become more fascinated
with foods and willing to try new ones. Customers will buy form us because of its
crunchiness and not the typical snack and of course of our service and its very negotiable
price.
C. Market Analysis

TARGET MARKET

The primary target “consumer” group for the first phase of Fresh Fair Merienda fits the
profile of a medium to high-income earner, with a healthy and fresh lifestyle orientation.
The first phase of the business plan is about growing brand awareness quickly with
customers of this profile. Shortly after growing the brand awareness, as part of the Fresh
Fair Merienda rapid growth plans, franchisee customers looking for a self-employment
opportunity providing good income relative to the hours worked will be targeted.
Institutions such as university campuses will also be targeted as potential franchisees.

MARKET SIZE

The market is mature with heavy buyer/seller saturation, it is heavily segmented on quality,
style, modality and price, presenting opportunity for niche market products such as Fresh
Fair Merienda Customers’ perception of ‘healthier’ is an important value proposition. Fresh
Fair Merienda provides this, with the added bonus of serving the meal quickly.

The idea that desirable food could be prepared in a quick fashion appeal to a sizeable
portion of the market; those in tourism, people engaged in a commercial capacity, busy
homemakers and students. These few examples are indicative of a large and growing
collection of “time poor” individuals placing increasing value on every spare moment of
their day. Fresh Fair Merienda has the ability to match the ravenous need for convenience
with the utility that modern, fast paced lifestyles drive. Fresh Fair Merienda negates
boundaries of culture, age and preference, through a daily mission to satiate appetites.

MARKET TRENDS

Today the contemporary food must maintain its appeal within an increasingly health-
conscious market. Worldwide the “diet” continues to gain momentum and this means that
products with less appeal to the diet-conscious will suffer reduced success. Entrepreneurs
continue to derive extraordinary profits from ‘health-conscious’ ventures.

The economic environment for the successful outlet will take into account the factors and
conditions that influence the ability of its target market to afford its product. Consumers
today, particularly in business-centric cites, have a relatively high disposable income. Fresh
Fair Merienda will be priced competitively with existing alternatives and will strive to
attract market share through product differentiation.

D. Marketing Plan

The scale of marketing plan will greatly depend on the purpose or type of business it is for.
For new business requiring little or no start up financing or, existing business looking to
increase sales, marketing plans are often used in place of detailed business plan. The
benefits that we provide is that we have churros, potato chips, and a drink that taste good
and the image do we have is Fresh Fair Merienda. Regardless of the size or audience, a
marketing plan should never lose detail and quality. Keep in mind that everything should be
customized for your business scale and marketing needs.
Product Strategies

Breakthrough product seems to appear from thin air. These are innovative or disruptive
solutions that take people by surprise in a good way. Product strategy defines what you want
to achieve, provide context around the market that you operate in. In our products it will be
packaged easily to recognize, designing packaging with our logo front and center helps
customers to remember or product the next time they are going to buy our products. New
products that we introduce are attractive and saleable. A goal first approach is a product
manager’s best path towards innovation. Strategic planning should take place before you
dive into the detailed work and developing features.

Pricing Strategies

Pricing is one of the classic “4Ps” of marketing (product, price, place, promotion). There are
many factors to consider when developing your pricing strategy, both short and long term.
In our pricing, it needs to reflect the value that provide versus our competitors, match what
the market will truly pay for your offering and support our product. Fresh Fair Merienda
cares most about price because the product is viewed as a commodity. There are a lot of
competitions and their product is only slightly better than the alternatives. Our company
focuses on product value with secondary focus on price. We regularly review the market and
adjust prices to maintain our competitive position. Our value preposition is operational
excellence and they consistently deliver the same product at better price. Our business is
working to develop a premium product that can warrant a quality price. By doing this, we
will ensure that our pricing reflects our value and reinforces our brand.

Price

The price of the product is as follow:

Product Price

Churros

Per piece 5.00

Per tab 50.00

Potato Chips

Per cup 10.00

Lemonade
Per cup 5.00

Promotional Strategies

Product promotion is a fundamental component of a business marketing plan. Consider the

sales venue and the demographic when choosing which type of promotional product strategy
will be most effective. Customers don’t like to miss out opportunities. Limited time offers
don’t always refer to specialty products. These offers might be deals for discounted or
newly released products. Customers also love getting deals. To reach our target market we
will use social media, in this situation we will Facebook to sell our products and to reach our
target markets. Customers will be motivated to buy our products because we will do our best
to serve them delicious food that they buy from us and our services are quality and gentle.
We will maintain awareness of the importance and usefulness of a product especially during
late maturity or decline strategies. We will do our best to give a good and quality Fresh Fair
Merienda.

E. Location

Location is the place where a firm decides to sides its operations. Location decision can
have big impact on costs and revenues. A business needs to decide on the best location
taking into account factors. Consequently, location often plays a significant role in a
company's profit and overall success. Being in the right location is a key ingredient in a
business success. If a company selects the wrong location, it may have adequate access. A
location strategy is a plan for obtaining the optimal location for a company by identifying
company needs and objectives, and searching for locations with offerings that are
compatible with these needs and objectives.

Where should you locate your business? A Fresh Fair Merienda location should conform
with, and be part of its overall corporate strategy. The location I choose is in Barangay
Matalaba, Santa Cruz Marinduque, because in this location are largely type of business and
enough mixed-use areas creative applications of space. How important location is for our
new business, the facilities and other resources we need, as well as where our customers are.
Many start up mistakes can be corrected later on, a poor choice of location. Whether you're
selling to the general public or other businesses, if you have a product or services that you
take to your customers, my ideal location is in Matalaba, Santa Cruz Marinduque.
Location Map
F. Competition

Competition is rivalry between individuals or groups over something that both sides want or
need. Market competition motivates companies to increase sales volume by utilizing the
four components of the marketing mix, also referred to as the four P’s. These P’s stand for
product, place, promotion and price.

I have no specific direct competition, yet but of course we also compete with everyone. I
will offer my customers a completely new experiences and far quality product. I will always
present my products in unintimidating manner.

Our Advantages

I have no exact competition. I am the only one doing this in the area. I have churros, potato
chips and a drink that taste good. I will give our customers a very quick serve and show.

I also dedicated to use quality ingredients, good customer service and remembering that
customers are always right. Identifying your competition and staying informed about their
products and services is the key to remaining competitive in the market and is crucial to the
survival of any business. The amazing popularity of Fresh Fare Merienda is a good quality
of my business.

G. Management and Operations

Most management teams bring a variety of experience to the management table. Most will
have prior experience. That experience will likely be in the same field or industry for most
of the team but not for everyone. You need to create the most diverse group possible so you
get the best of everyone’s ideas. Then you need to get them working together toward a
common goal, sharing their ideas, listening to others and being ready to fully support
whichever approaches the group settles on. The leader doesn’t dictate, but sorts out what
everyone can agree to collaborate on. Those teams are highly successful and I’ve been on
and have run a number of them. You should know how to plan budgets and have knowledge
of financial software that tracks how money is spent in the company. Fresh Fair Merienda is
owned by Ara Grace O. Ricohermoso. Fresh Fair Merienda will be successfully build-up by
a member knowledge about the business, discipline and love for the chosen business and
with the help of the advisors. I will implement our business by cooking my owned dishes
and other products will be merienda also the market like Churros also we have Potato chips
and Lemonade. I will monitor our everyday income and profit for order to us if we reach for
our target income in a day. And by knowing what products are best sellers and not. For us to
achieve our goals.

H. Personnel

Fresh Fair Merienda is sole proprietorship business, so I will manage it by my own, I don’t
need any personnel to hire. But my siblings were able to help me operate this business if
ever I am not available.

I. Application and Effect of loan and Investment

Fresh Fair Merienda will venture capital, but that won’t be enough, so the business will also
need to raise this amount 300. The principle will be able to buy more equipment with this
level of investment and work more independently as a result. That will result making
money. To increase our sales the principle will provide a variety of exclusive deals and top-
notch services. We will give our investors 8% of our sales as settlement for their investment,
this is we think is possible with wise budget management.
