This program provides the Series 3* (3 / 3 Plus / 3++) Controller
specific functions of the Platform Engineering Utilities software
package. The more general Fast Recorder and Alarm Monitor
field engineering programs are discussed in the TrainTools Engi-
PID neering Utilities product bulletin [PB5511].

Controller Configuration
The purpose of this program is to adapt Series 3* Controllers to
specific applications by creating, editing, and downloading snap-
shots of their configuration parameter values. To that end, it can:
• Read and display a snapshot of any connected controller’s
current parameter values, using an automatically selected
template for the installed control program’s parameter set.
• Create default parameter set snapshots from any available
control program template.
• Edit the parameter values in any available snapshot.
• Record multiple parameter snapshots to a project file, then add
to, duplicate, modify, or delete those snapshots.
• Compare snapshots based on the same template, highlighting
any parameter values that do not match.
• Print parameter set snapshots.
• Update any snapshot to match newer versions of the same
control program.
• Reconfigure any connected controller by downloading any
snapshot based on the installed control program’s template.
