Loss of Nobody Listens

To everyone who travels with their horse:
Almost every evening, I open the Bloodhorse Daily
app to read some of the days headlines. Last evening,
I truly wish that I had not.
Reading about the tragic death of Nobody
Listens, so soon after his Turf Monster victory, it
was hard to process. But...when I saw that Nobody
Listens died in a travel tragedy, I was heartbroken.
Then, I learned that the tragedy happened on a
freeway that goes through downtown Columbus
GE T DA ILY IN S IGH TS
Ohio.
As a resident of the city of Columbus, it seems that D E L IV E RE D TO YOUR

continual construction.
While I never got to meet Nobody Listens, I
am sure he was a sweet boy and a most beautiful
gray. My heart is heavy for his loved ones, and I
am writing this in the hope that if you are bringing
your precious cargo into the Columbus area, please
use the I-270 outerbelt to avoid the horrors of the

I-70/I-71 construction zone.
Nobody Listens, sweet boy, may you find friends

HOW WILL YOU Since 2010, the Retired Racehorse Project

has been leading a market-based approach to
MAKE AN IMPACT aftercare through education, service, and
inspiration. While the RRP’s banner event,
FOR THE BREED? the Thoroughbred Makeover, has directly
impacted over 4,000 horses since its inception,
the efforts of the RRP have inspired the
transition of thousands of other ex-racehorses
into second careers.
But we are much more than the Makeover:
we are leading the aftercare industry in driving
demand for Thoroughbreds in careers after
racing, and we have big goals to expand our
reach in 2023.
