BENEFITS COVERED UNDER THE SCHEME


Benefit / Cover Description

 DEATH DUE TO ANY CAUSE – 100% sum insured


 Terminal Illness – 50% of life Sum Insured
 PTD - Accident, own or similar occupation, 100% sum insured, 12 months deferred
 PTD - Sickness, own or similar occupation, 100% sum insured, 12 months deferred
 PPD - Accident, as per Continental Scale of benefits based on 100% sum insured
 PPD - Sickness, as per Scale “C” of benefits based on 100% sum insured
 TTD - Accident, 1% of sum insured or actual weekly declared salary, whichever is less, 52 weeks,
nil day waiting period

 Medical Expenses due to Accident (AED 20,000/-) per person per annum
 Repatriation Cost (Mortal remains) on actuals, limited to AED 15,000/- per person

THE SCHEDULE
It is warranted that in the event of any inconsistency between the provisions set out in the schedule and general
conditions of the policy, the provision of this schedule will prevail over the general terms and conditions of the policy.

Conditions:

* Any new joiner / member under the scheme on the normal inclusion date / any existing member on the
renewal date must comply actively at work condition failing which he/she must return to normal duties for
a minimum of two weeks to validate cover (excluding the period of normal leave). However, all existing
members are covered on roll-over basis for existing level of benefits and their existing sum insured.
* “Actively at Work” means, in relation to an employee employed by the Employer Group at any relevant
date, that they have not received medical advice to refrain from and are actively engaged in or are
otherwise following their normal occupation on that date. Actively means the employee is mentally and
physically capable of working their normal contracted number of hours, either at their usual place of
business or at the location to which business requires them to travel.
* Cover ceases at age 70 years. Any life to be covered over the age limit will subject to Medical
Underwriting and prior written acceptance by the Company. Free Cover Limit is limited to age 70 years,
which means age at entry is 69 years attained for new members.
* Warranted that any request for Addition/Deletion of members under the scheme to be notified to the
company within a period of 45 days from the date of joining or cessation of employment and premium
adjustment carried out on pro-rata basis.
* Any Sum Insured on the life of a member in excess of ("the Free Cover Limit") or in excess of the normal
life insurance benefit applicable to the member in accordance with the provisions of the Schedule shall be
subject to underwriting assessment by the Company.
* The Annual Premium payable will be applicable for the first policy period and the Company shall have the
right to alter the rate at each scheme anniversary or otherwise specified under Condition 8 of the Policy.
* Insurance is on 24 hours basis and covers the member whilst travelling anywhere in the world subject to
Passive War and Passive Terrorism Cover exclusions including travel restrictions to war locations / zones
detailed herein below and also in the schedule of exclusions appearing in the later part of the policy.
* Cover is subject to all members being resident in UAE only unless prior written acceptance has been made
by the Company.
* Passive War / Passive Terrorism risk is covered for Death by any cause, Permanent Total Disability
(Accident), Permanent Partial Disability (Accident), benefit provided the insured member is a non-
participant and is an innocent by-stander subject to exclusions of any claims as a result of Nuclear
Weapons or Device or chemical or biological agents. Other Passive War Cover conditions / exclusions
are as appearing in the schedule of exclusions attached to the policy.
* Coverage is not provided to employees travelling to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Palestine, Israel, Syria,
Sudan, Iran, Yemen and any other country where war or war like operation takes place unless prior written
acceptance has been obtained from the Company.
* Warranted that claims arising out of offshore, aviation and mining activities are not covered unless
specifically agreed by the Company.
* No insurer shall be deemed to provide cover and no insurer shall be liable to pay any claim or provide any
benefit hereunder to the extent that the provision of such cover, payment of such claim or provision of
such benefit would expose that insurer to any sanction, prohibition or restriction under United States /
United Nations resolutions or the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the European Union,
France or Germany or UK or UAE as attached to the policy.
* Event/ Accumulation limit: AED 75,000,000/- for any one event; However for PWR maximum event/
accumulation limit will be limited to AED 30,000,000/-.

* Warranted that Iran, Israel, North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Crimea, North Sudan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and any
other Sanctioned Countries are excluded from our scope of coverage.

* Warranted that any claims under the Policy shall be paid to the Policyholder mentioned in the Policy
Schedule. The policyholder understands and undertakes that it is obliged to pay and will pay the claim(s)
amount(s), paid by the company to the insured person(s) or his/her legal/personal representative(s).
