INTRODUCTION
This assessment allows us on how to manage your PTPTN financial using only Microsoft
excel. In Microsoft excel it has lot of futuristic that can make it easier for you to manage your
data or calculate the number. Microsoft Excel is a potent and adaptable piece of software
that is used by people, businesses, and organisations all over the world to manage their
finances. Excel is a dynamic tool that offers a wide range of features to organise, evaluate,
and make decisions about financial data. It is more than just a spreadsheet programme.

ANALYSIS
Microsoft Excel is a robust programme that is used extensively worldwide, particularly in
commercial settings. It has been ingrained in business operations all over the world and is
used for a variety of tasks like budgeting, customer sales list organisation, and stock or
issuer analysis. However, in addition to Microsoft Excel, there are other programmes that
function similarly to it, such as LibreOffice Calc, Zoho Sheet, and WPS Office Spreadsheets.
In terms of features and user interface, this programme was rated as the greatest Excel
substitute. Because it functions almost exactly like Microsoft Excel and is modern in design.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

STRENGTHS

Calculation and Analysis – Complex financial calculations, including interest rates, loan amortisation,
and investment returns, are made simpler by Excel's built-in formulas and functions.

Graphs and Charts – Your financial data can be visually represented using Excel, which facilitates the
understanding of trends, patterns, and performance.

Cost-Effectiveness – Excel is widely available and affordable compared to specialized financial

software.

WEAKNESSES

Time-Consuming Update – manual data entry and updates can be time consuming. Especially if data
needs to be collected from various sources.

Version Control – version control can be an issue which leading to potential data discrepancies when
multiple users collaborate on a single excel file.

Error- Prone – Human error in Excel can take many forms, including entering data incorrectly, making
calculation errors, and moving decimal points. It may have an important financial order.
IMPROVEMENT

As the latest Microsoft Excel has a lot of futuristic that are interesting, there are some improvements
that it needs so it can be an apps that is outstanding. Some improvements that it needs to do is to
improve the performance. It needs to improve the efficiency and latency reduction for managing
massive dataset and intricate computations. Next is to enhance security, enhance user access
restrictions, encryption and audit trail capabilities for sensitive financial information.

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION

DISCUSSION

I have been reassured by this assessment that using Microsoft Excel for financial management is a
common choice for both individuals and businesses. It has several benefits but also some drawbacks.
Because Microsoft Excel provides all the tools, we need to be successful, using it will increase the
efficiency of our work. Furthermore, I just learned that Microsoft Excel offers a tonne of free
templates that may be downloaded and used. The user, especially students, will benefit greatly from
this as they may save money and avoid paying for a pay template subscription.

CONCLUSION

As my review comes to a finish, I've discovered that while Excel is a strong and adaptable tool for
managing your finances, it also has certain limitations and potential negative effects. To maximise
Excel's advantages and minimise its drawbacks, many businesses combine it with specialised
financial software. When using Excel for a financial management activity, it is important to weigh the
advantages and disadvantages.
