REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A COURT BAILIFF IN UGANDA

1. Application letter on headed paper


2. Recommendations of 3 referees who are practicing Advocate
3. Letter from Resident District Commissioner (RDC)
4. Letter from District Police Commander(DPC)
5. Certificate Of Good Conduct From Interpol-Uganda
6. Letter from Local Council Chairperson of the Applicants Residence
7. Letter from the Bank Manager
8. 4passport photos
9. Insurance cover (Fire & Burglary) in the personal names of the Bailiff / Trading or
company name and stores location /address
10. Insurance Security bond for Judiciary
11. Certificate of Registration of Business Name
12. Business URA TIN Certificate
13. O & A level Certificate, Diploma in Law, or LLB.
14. Tenancy Agreement and Rent Receipts
15. Payment of UCBA subscription of 750,000/= (Bank A/C 3100063127 )
16. New UCBA Identity Card of 100,000/=
17. Judiciary/Court Fees of 200,000/=
18. Judiciary application form fee of 1,500/=
19. Filled inspection from the Deputy/Ass /Registrar / Chief Registrar
REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF BAILIFFS
1. Application for Renewal as Bailiff on Headed Paper
2. 2 passport size photos
3. subscription fee (190,000 )
4. Judiciary fees 100,000
5. Insurance cover (Fire & Burglary) in the personal names of the Bailiff / Trading or
company name and stores location /address (155000)
6. Insurance bond (220,000) or security bond for judiciary (2m) choose one of the
two.
7. Business URA TIN Certificate
8. Tenancy Agreement and Rent Receipts
