Culminating Activity: Synthesis Paper

I. Title:
To a More Brighter Tomorrow
(Alternative Energy Resources)

II. Abstract

Alternative Energy refers to energy sources other than fossil fuels. This includes all renewable sources and
nuclear. This paper discusses how renewable energy can be the future’s brighter tomorrow to a clean and
healthy way of getting energy. With the increasing consumption of electricity is the rise of other problems. The
development of alternative energy sources is once again receiving attention as a result of rising fossil fuel prices
and worries about the effects of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment. Due to the absence of risk and
natural disasters, renewable energy is increasingly regarded as a more desirable fuel source than nuclear
power. Since carbon dioxide makes up the majority of greenhouse gases, lowering carbon emissions is a priority
for everyone. In this context, several measures, such as promoting the deployment of renewable energy sources
and supporting technology advancements, could be used to reduce carbon emissions. An aid to this problem
can be possible by replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy sources as much as possible and enhancing
energy efficiency.
III. Approach

Scientist and Engineers have been working a studies on remedies to this issue. Some of the methods improve
the fuel efficiency of machinery like autos. Other options concentrate on finding new energy sources that we can
harness for productive labor or electricity. The development of renewable energy sources should contribute to
the long-term sustainability of our energy systems.
We're going to need a bigger, more resilient, and smarter system to transport all the additional renewable
energy. The good news is that most of the technology we require in this field are already available. We just lack
the motivation and resources to make it happen. The grid will likely need to be nationalized and its improvement
paid publically in order to meet this challenge, just as it took federal financing and initiative to construct the
interstate highway system.
We People can also choose and make decisions that support addressing our energy concerns. People have the
option of using less energy (energy conservation), purchasing products that use energy more effectively (energy
efficiency), or installing new energy systems in their houses (new sources). For decisions involving conservation,
individuals alone are accountable. To use renewable energy sources, engineers must design and manufacture
energy-efficient products and equipment, and customers must do the same (for example, solar panels). Energy-
saving, energy-efficient, or new energy source solutions may be suited for the energy project that was just
proposed.

IV. Conclusion/s

Since electricity is the main source of greenhouse gases today, using clean renewable energy will be essential in
the near future. In order to lessen our contribution to climate change and develop sustainable energy in the
future, energy efficiency is an essential part. Use energy-efficient lighting, such as fluorescent or LED light bulbs,
at our workspace to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as an example of how little adjustments can contribute
to or build up to significant savings in the near future. Natural resources that regenerate themselves over time
without depleting Earth's resources are the source of renewable energy. These resources also have the
advantages of being plentiful, accessible almost everywhere, and causing little to no environmental harm.
Examples include thermal energy held in the Earth's crust as well as solar, wind, and geothermal energy. In
contrast, fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas are not renewable since their supply is limited, and after they
have been mined, they will no longer be usable as an affordable source of energy.
