    My full name is Obidov Odiljon and I am excited to be a part of this university.

    I
    am from Uzbekistan and I am 22 years old. In term of my academic background, I am
    currently a first-year master student at the Fergana State University with full scholarship
    in Uzbekistan and this program offers a major professional step in my career. It would be
    a pleasure and huge privilege to study my master degree at Bangor University, as it would
    give me the chance to interact with and meet professionals from the sector with whome to
    share and learn.

    I have always had a deep interest in learning foreign culture and language. In
    addition to this, on the grounds of my resilience, creativity as well as critical thinking I
    become an owner of IELTS 6.0 and CEFR B2 certificates respectively. During my
    bachelor I have actively participated in different types of competitions, relating to check
    knowledge and this program gave me the opportunity to respond the questions in a
    thoughtfull way, as well as, I participated in many types of intellectual games, for instance
    “Zakovat”. As my education progressed, I found myself regularly immersing in biology-
    related work, even going as far as bringing my own substrates such as shed leopard gecko
    skin, moss, and samples of water from the nearby Syr-Darya river for the purpose of
    observing under the microscope. In the 2nd grade of university I made a herbarium from
    the local flora, spanning over 30 species. Moreover, in my bachelor years I did my final
    scientific work in “Ichthyofauna of the lower reaches of the Kara-Darya (species
    composition, morphometrics and conservation issues)”. The news of my scientific work is
    that the record of the length of the gobio lepidolaemus was 11 cm but I found gobio
    lepidolaemus more than 11 (11.6) cm from the Kara-Darya river basin. Currently, I am
    working on “ Complete mitochondrial genome of the Cypriniformes”. I hope that I will
    collect all DNA sequences from complete mitochondrial genome.

    In my free time, I enjoy to read. I also enjoy playing football with my collegue. In
    terms of my goals for my time at this university, I hope to get more experience about
    Genetics and Bioinformatics. I am excited to meet new people and get involved in Biology
    sphere. I am also open to new opportunities and experiences that will help me grow both
    personally and professionally.

    I strongly want to continue and restart my master degree at Medical Molecular


    Biology With Genetics field at Bangor University. Thank you for taking the time to get to
    know me a little better. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and making the
    most of my time here at Bangor University.
