Job Description Summary

As a Propulsion Modeling & Simulation Engineer, you’ll be accountable for functional, Apply Now

Technologies organization, supporting both Commercial engine architectures and
Aero derivative products at GE Aviation. You’ll utilize your thermodynamics experience
and programing skills to focus on the aerothermal modeling and simulations for Current Search Criteria

Essential Responsibilities: Clear All

Develop dynamic aerothermal system models that behave throughout the


operational envelope

Resolve model issues through understanding both the physical system and its
numerical representation

Package models for delivery to customers and integration into rigs or simulators

Create maps and/or meta models of specific components

Participate in design reviews of modeling approach, functionality, and validity

Accept Evaluate assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and
procedures and the product / program requirements

Communicate status, business issues and significant developments

Work together with development and functional team, from different engineering
teams, using Agile methodologies as an effective collaboration way to ensure
deliveries on time and with the expected quality

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Mechanical/Aeronautical in Engineering or related


in field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering position

Programming skills with at least 2 years of experience regardless the language

Strong English oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics:

Experience with the Numerical Propulsion System Simulation (NPSS) software

Experience in aircraft engine system design and integration

Experience with aerodynamic compression components (Fan, Booster,


Compressor)

Experience with gas turbine engine performance cycle design and evaluation

Demonstrated cross functional team experience

Presentation skills: ability to present work results.
