Can we share planet Earth? – L3.2

How to make a mask from a paper plate

You need:
 one paper plate
 pencil
 scissors
 colouring pencils or paint
 collage materials
 glue
 hole punch
 string or ribbon

1. Start by drawing and cutting out the shape. This can be a full mask, or a half mask,
depending on what you prefer.
2. Draw and cut two holes for your eyes.
3. Use different colours (paint or pencils) to draw the face of the animal.
4. Add collage materials for the eyes, whiskers.
5. Add key facts about the animal to your mask using labels, pre-typed facts or pictures.
6. Punch two holes on either side of your mask, put a piece of string or ribbon through each
hole and tie a knot to secure it.
7. Put the mask on and tie the strings or ribbons at the back of your head so that it fits
comfortably.
