WE HAVE THE PLEASURE OF SUPPYING BUNKER TO YOUR GOOD SHIP. HEREWITH PLEASE FIND OUR CALLING INSTRUCTIONS TO
SECURE A SMOOTH OPERATION OFF GOTHENBURG.

PILOT INFORMATION:
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT PILOT IS COMPULSORY FOR TANKERS IN THE R/V-POSITION AT SKAW STATED ABOVE IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING CRITERIAS ARE MET

IN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TERRITORIAL WATERS THERE IS AN OBLIGATION FOR SHIPS TO USE A PILOT IF THEY:
1. CARRY OIL OR HAVE UNCLEANED CARGO TANKS (INCLUDING SLOP TANKS) THAT HAVE NOT BEEN RENDERED SAFE WITH
INERT GAS
2. CARRY CHEMICALS –DEFINED AS IBC CODE PRODUCTS TYPE X, Y, Z
3. CARRY GASSES
4. CARRY MORE THAN 5.000 MT BUNKER OIL
5. CARRY HIGHLY RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS

INFORMATION REGARDING STAMPS ON THE BDR:


WE ACCEPT “SHIP STAMP” OR “SIGNED FOR QUANTITY AND TEMPERATURE ONLY” ON THE BDR. ALL OTHER STAMPS WILL BE REJECTED
ON THE BDR. VESSEL MAY ISSUE A SEPARATE DOCUMENT WITH ALL OTHER RELEVANT STAMPS THAT THE VESSEL WISH TO USE AND THE
SUPPLY TANKER WILL SIGN FOR RECEIPT ONLY.

PROCEDURES FOR BOARDING A TANKER BARGE:


WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU AND YOUR CREW IS ALWAYS WELCOME TO COME ONBOARD OUR BARGE TO WITNESS SAMPLING
AND FLOWMETER READINGS. BUNKERING IS DONE IN OPEN SEA AND THE GAP BETWEEN THE TWO SHIPS WILL BE QUITE BIG, DUE TO LARGE
FENDERS - THEREFORE WE AGREE THAT ONLY FOLLOWING TWO OPTIONS CAN BE CONSIDERED AS SAFE FOR PERSONNEL TRANSFER BETWEEN
SHIPS:

1. TO USE PILOT LADDERS ON BOTH SHIPS, AND TRANSFER PERSONNEL BY A LAUNCH BOAT.
WEATHER AND PROPER PPE MUST BE CONSIDERED. IF YOU WISH TO USE THIS OPTION,
PLEASE ORDER LAUNCH BOAT VIA THE LOCAL AGENT BEFORE VESSEL’S ARRIVAL.

2. TO USE APPROVED BASKET & APPROVED CRANE FOR PERSONNEL TRANSFER. MAJORITY OF
OUR SHIPS CAN PROVIDE SAFETY BASKET. IF BOTH SHIPS HAVE APPROVED CRANES -
USUALLY USE CRANE FROM A SHIP WHICH HAS HIGHER FREEBOARD. CRANE RESTRICTIONS
(MAX.ROLLING ANGLE, ETC.), CRANE OPERATOR EXPERIENCE, WEATHER AND PROPER PPE
MUST BE CONSIDERED

8. WHAT IS THE LOA WHAT IS THE PARALLEL BODY LENGTH AT
LOADED AND BALLAST DRAUGHTS?
9. IS THE SHIP’S LIFTING EQUIPMENT IS CERTIFIED FOR
PERSONNEL TRANSFER?
10. SUFFICIENT MANPOWER WILL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL
STAGES OF THE OPERATION?
11. CAN THE SHIP SUPPLYING THE MOORINGS PROVIDE ALL
LINES ON WINCH DRUMS?
12. IF MOORINGS ARE WIRES OR HIGH MODULUS SYNTHETIC
FIBRE ROPES, ARE THEY FITTED WITH SYNTHETIC TAILS AT
LEAST ELEVEN METRES IN LENGTH?
13. FULL-SIZED MOORING BITTS OF SUFFICIENT STRENGTH ARE
SUITABLY LOCATED NEAR ALL ENCLOSED FAIRLEADS TO
RECEIVE MOORING ROPES?
14. DO YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF MOORING LEADS &
BITTS ON MAIN DECK, SUITABLE TO RECEIVE AND MADE FAST
BARGE SPRINGS?
15. BOTH SIDES OF THE SHIP ARE CLEAR OF ANY
OVERHANGING PROJECTION INCLUDING BRIDGE WINGS?
16. LAST PORT OF CALL PRIOR ARRIVAL TO BUNKERING
POSITION.
17. VESSEL'S NEXT PORT OF CALL AFTER BUNKERING.
18. IN BALLAST OR LOADED.
19. CARGO DETAILS IF LOADED.
20. VESSEL'S ARRIVAL DRAFT.
21. FREEBORD AT BUNKER MANIFOLD.
22. SIZE AND POSITION OF BUNKER MANIFOLD.
23. RECEIVING RATE PER GRADE AND
ABILITY TO RECEIVE DIFFERENT GRADES SIMULTANEOUSLY.
24. NO LATER THAN 24 HRS PRIOR ARRIVAL MASTER MUST
FAX/TELEX/EMAIL A COMPLETE COPY OF VESSEL'S CREW LIST.
25. IS THE VESSEL ISPS CERTIFIED?
26. PLEASE STATE VESSEL'S CURRENT SECURITY LEVEL.
27. DO YOU NEED TO PASS YOUR BUNKER SAMPLES ASHORE
FOR FURTHER DELIVERY ANYWHERE? IF YES, PLEASE
