You: Good afternoon

Teacher: Good afternoon

You: I’m calling from High Street. Could you send someone to fix my Internet?
Teacher: What’s the problem?
You: It’s not connecting. I don’t undrstand why.
Teacher: How long have you had this problem?
You: Since this morning.
Teacher: Does the Internet come up?
You: It does buti t doesn’t connect to any webpage.
Teacher: If it pops up, the problem is with the connection.
You: Can you send someone to fix it?
Teacher: Of course, I can.
You: When?
Teacher: Right now. Can I take your address, please?
You: It’s 44 High Street. When will they arrive?
Teacher: They will be there in 30 minutes.
You: Fine.
Teacher: Thank you for calling.

Teacher: You know I have got a big problem. Unfortunately I’m overweight. I would like to lose some
weight. So what should I do to live a healthy way of life?
You: In my opinion to keep in good health you must try to lead a healthy life.
Teacher: What does it mean?
You: This mean that you must do some sport regularly. Sport helps you keep fit and to develop your will-
power. Doing sports makes you more resistant to illnesses. You should go for a walk. You should go
swimming twice a week. You should spend more time outdoors. You should do some exercises every day.
Teacher: Ok. I understand. But what should I eat?
You: You should have a healthy diet. You should try to eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. They contain a lot
of vitamins. Remember the old saying: „An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Drinking water is also very
important. You should eat diary products: such as milk, yoghourt, cheese because they are rich in protein
and calcium. Protein is necessary for the body to be strong. Calcium is necessary for your teeth.
Teacher: Ok. What shouldn’t I eat?
You: You shouldn’t eat junk food and fast food. Try to avoid sweets, coffee, alcohol and fizzy drinks.
Teacher: What about smoking, alcohol and drugs. Unfortunately I smoke.
You: It is very harmful for your health. Try to avoid them.
Teacher: How can we avoid stress?
You: I think you should spend more time outdoors. You should listen to music, go for a walk every
day.You should take up a sport.
Teacher: Thanks for your advice. Maybe I will follow it.

You: Another advantage of shopping in supermarkets is that the products are cheaper there, and there is a
sale now. You can choose from a big variety of goods. In addition there is self-service, so you don’t have to
wait for the shop assistant.
Teacher: But it is far from the city centre and we need a car.
