Research Analytics Associate, Makatony Data, Bath Jun 2022-Sept 2022


Undertook research and analysis for this small (30 employee) software company as part of the Industrial Dissertation
programme at University of Bath. This was an assessed part of my MSc in Business Analytics.
 Multi-disciplinary team working with the data science and marketing teams to come up with insights that
could increase marketing response rates and lead generation across digital channels.
 Used Google analytics, LinkedIn, and Instagram data to derive meaningful insights to be used in
performance marketing.
 Quick learning capability to build a dashboard using flexdashboard in R for company’s stakeholders
summarizing all major assessments for variables like gender, ethnicity, age, and scores.
 Attention to detail demonstrated while using Excel for data cleaning, SQL for data extraction from database
and R for data wrangling,visualization, and statistical analysis.
 R libraries used in the project include: flexdashboard, ggplot, dplyr, tidyverse and plotly.

Job Information Gathering Spider Using Python December 2021


Wrote a Python script to gather information of job vacancies in one file to save time and improve accuracy.
 Identified bottlenecks in job searching process and formulated clear problem statements.
 Initiated a project specifically designed to tackle the issue.
 This program significantly improves efficiency in the information gathering stage by collecting data in one
place, which can be manipulated by other tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
 Problem-solving skills developed through problem recognition, problem definition, and finding the answer.

Data Analyst Intern, Acumen Solutions Jun 2021 - Aug 2021


 Text Analytics: Used Python to analyse thousands of online comments, enabling the company to understand
consumers' perception about the product and adjust their pricing strategy.
 Database: Extracted 10000+ data from the company's database and analysed company's profitability and
advertising cost for the 2nd quarter, making recommendations for future marketing plan.
 Web crawler: Extracted competitors' product information and analysed their pro/cons against company
product, supporting development of two new products.
Other Work Experience

Customer Service Assistant, Waitrose & Partners, London 2018-2021


I worked part time whilst studying at university. I was responsible for handling deliveries, tackling warehouse
operations, dealing with customer service issues, and ensuring our department’s sales targets and Health and Safety
standards were met. This role enhanced my:
 Numeracy and Written Skills, Time Management and Communication: Juggling work and academic
commitments, I needed to ensure I completed both commitments effectively to not detriment the other.
 Understanding of Customer Service and Expectations: Upholding the brand’s image by conducting myself in
a professional yet approachable manner while still satisfying the customer.
 Knowledge of the Sector: Observing evolving strategies in the market and suggesting potential changes to
internal processes on the shop floor and within the warehouse to more senior personnel to enable
continuous improvement.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Future Business Challenge: 1st Place Jan 2022


Led a team of seven international and inter-disciplinary members, the task was to creatively answer ‘What makes a
business resilient and sustainable?’. The challenge was set by the School of Management and the week involved
interactions with guest speakers and company visits. My team was commended for presenting our findings in a
creative and original way, of thinking outside of the box.

Qlik Data Challenge – Netflix Recommendations: 1st Place Oct 2020


Analysed dataset on movie databases using Qlik to interpret trends and give Netflix recommendations as to which
shows should be acquired in the future. Presented our findings in a group presentation to over 100 other students.

Big Team Challenge – Perrigo: 2nd Place Oct 2020


Team challenge to rebrand a Perrigo product called Niquitin. The task was to make the product sustainable and
recyclable in a cost effective and consumer friendly way. Investigated market research of the product and developed
a new marketing strategy.
