1.2.1 Removing
– For vehicles with automatic gearboxes, select position “N” with
the selector lever.
– Fit brake pedal actuator -V.A.G 1869/2- .
– Raise vehicle.
– Remove noise insulation below gearbox.
– If there is a skid plate beneath prop shaft, remove it ⇒ Rep.
Gr. 50 ; Skid plate .
– Check if there is a coloured mark on front propshaft and prop‐
shaft flange on front final drive.
– If no markings can be found, mark position of propshaft flange
-arrow A- relative to front final drive -arrow B- with coloured
marks.
